“The property was immaculate and well equipped. The host, Jane was extremely friendly and helpful. A quiet peaceful spot with chickens and sheep wondering around on the common land outside the enclosed garden. My only criticism is that the staircase was steep and difficult for me but it didn’t spoil our stay. I shall recommend to friends.”

There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. “Loved my stay at the Market Lodge. Dom was very communicative and met every need. The location was great (just a 5 minute walk to High Street). It’s a lovely, cozy lodge and was perfect for my sabbatical! I look forward to another stay in the future!”

“Our first trip to the area and it is beautiful. We were blessed with fine weather. The Coach House is very well presented with all mod cons and a comfortable bed. The lounge area is spacious with lovely outlook to the garden. The grounds are lovely with an array of bird life. Great pubs and restaurants nearby. Jules and Chris are very hospitable.”

“I've tried to speak with the owner before posting this but have had no reply. Beautiful location completely spoilt by the classic/abandoned cars in the front garden making it unsafe for children and dogs. Field next door is similarly blighted. This spot is a blot on the otherwise beautiful scenery. 2 cookers both in need of deep and thorough clean. 1 grill and 1 oven not working. Fridges and surfaces clean. “Charlotte and Simon's Cottage was wonderful. Very bright and clean and the grounds were excellent. This cottage gave us a great jumping off point for all our site seeing. Charlotte & Simon were very helpful. Our evenings were restful thanks to this great cottage. Thank you for sharing your great cottage with us. “We had a lovely stay here. Stunning views from the cottage and was all very cosy and well-equipped. Great walks nearby and a pub within walking distance. We used the fire in the living room but it doesn't draw very well, so the room got very smoky (but might be my fire-making skills not being up to scratch!). Not the easiest to get to, especially if you have a large car. You'll need the directions, as it's really tucked away.”

“Lou’s view was a very comfortable cottage which suited our needs whilst we were there for a couple of days. The only thing that I feel that needs to be considered to be updated is the shower in the grey bathroom as the hot/cold water knob didn’t turn so we felt the water was tepid. The hot water boost wasn’t that effective either even when we turned it in early so 2 out of the 4 of us had cold showers.
