  • Omgiven av fantastisk utsikt och djurliv, är denna fristående stuga en utmärkt bas för äventyr ute i detta underbara område .. Ligger mot dramatiskt bergslandskap ligger detta härliga fristående stuga vid foten av Fuar Tholl. Stugan ger en lugn oas att slappna av och varva ner, omgiven av fantastiska, ständigt skiftande vyer och rikliga vilda djur, särskilt röda rådjur och ibland örnar. Det är en utmärkt bas för kulle vandrare och klättrare; Stigen till Torridon ligger nära stugan och Munros (bergstoppar över 3000 fot) som Maol Chean dearg och Beinn Laith Mhor kan klättras direkt från huset. Coulags Croft är utmärkt beläget för mjuka promenader längs floden, kullar och kusten, och för cyklister är North Coast 500 cykelrutt bara 110 meter bort. Västra högländerna och Isle of Skye kan lätt utforas med bil. Restaurang / pub 5 km .. Vardags- / matrum med gas-log-effekt-spis. Fullt utrustat och välutrustat kök. Duschrum med toalett. Loved our stay here and hopefully will be back.

Loved our stay here and hopefully will be back. Much more spacious than appears in photos, and it well stocked and equipped- really liked the generous separate mudroom /utility space. The location is superb for walkers and wild landscape lovers and the sheltered rear garden is a lovely sun trap (even this summer!)

Perfect Authentic Scottish Cottage

A beautiful setting in the Highlands. The cottage is well-equipped, and the owners are very responsive and accommodating. The property is private, very clean, books, and information for various walks, swimming and local pubs and restaurants.

Schöner Aufenthalt in den Highlands

Vom Check-In bis zur Abreise sehr gute Kommunikation und viele Tipps rund um das urige Haus und die Umgebung durch die Vermieter. Vor Ort war alles Notwendige vorhanden. Lediglich bei der Einstellung der Heizung und des Gaskamins haben wir etwas länger gebraucht. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr schön, der Blick auf die umgebenden Berge in alle Richtungen atemberaubend!

The Croft is in an ideal location to be your base for exploring this part of the Scottish Highlands

It’s a really comfortable Croft and we were all grateful to return after a day out bagging the local Monroe’s or walking in the local hills. There is a sign out side the Croft but it is not ideally placed if you are searching for the place in the night. A larger sign on the opposite side of the road would help those arriving in the dark. Other wise a great place to stay. Regards Godfrey Francis

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The master bedroom bed was the best that we have had in a rented cottage. The 3 piece suite was not good however and it proved hard to get out of for these over sixties! The setting was beautiful of course but we had not expected so much traffic (motor homes, caravans) and lorries going passed the cottage. Some heavy plant was parked on the land that the cottage was on and that was noisy. Of course the new route 500 around the coast of Scotland is the reason for the change. Lochcarron is a delightful place and the local cafe, petrol station and Spar shop provided for all our needs. We had to wait a few days for a response to our inquiry about the switches for the dishwasher and dryer but it was sorted out.

Cottage was clean,spacious and cosy at the same time, there were lots of lovely personal touches eg.

Cottage was clean,spacious and cosy at the same time, there were lots of lovely personal touches eg. DVD's, great informative books on Scotland, walking maps etc. It provided us with a great base to explore this beautiful part of the world. Although it didn't affect our holiday at all, the Wifi was very poor, although I believe the owner is currently in the process of switching to a different provider, so hopefully that will improve. Also, I wasn't very keen on the ensuite bathroom, I personally would get rid of the shower, put in a large sink with lots of shelves for toiletries etc and put a proper door on it. It felt very much like a commode in the corner of the bedroom! It's not a complaint, the other two bathrooms worked very well for our family's needs, it's just a suggestion. We would definitely stay at this cottage again.

Ideally situated for visits to local tourist destinations, such as Plockton, applecross and Eilan Donan Castle. Perfect for bagging a muro, as there are a couple in the back garden, kind of! A well equipped and comfortable cottage, with lots of added extras including a wide variety of books and games to keep everyone happy. Plenty of room for two or three cars in the gasrden, which shares access with a couple of farm buildings.

Local amenities- house in the middle of nowhere- which is why we chose it.
