âVery nice hotel in a nice area. Comfortable room. A bit worn down. The shower didn't work great.
A warning, though: There are zero power outlets. With four people staying in the room, and wanting to charge phones and watches, this was an issue. We had to unplug the TV and the lamp by the beds to have any access to power outlets.
Lots of drug zombies in the neighbourhood. Not the hotel's fault, obviously, but for some travellers this could be a relevant issue. â

âFairly quiet, except some obnoxious vehicle revving noises and inconsiderate guest pouncing around in the early morning hours on the floor above. Comfortable space, very comfy bed and pillows with a really cool kitchen and bath. Has a white noise sound device instead of a silly alarm clock. Mobile access(doors,locks)worked surprisingly well. Location is exceptional for those who love to walk. Close to a train station which easily gets you to the airport.
Not much of a view from the rooftop. Food...
âThe staff were professional, friendly and courteous. They greet you with a smile upon entry. The rooms are spacious; the bed was super comfortable; great amenities; the restroom was beautiful and clean with excellent water pressure. The hotel is in a convenient walkable location to several tourist sites. I will definitely stay here again. â

âThe State is a boutique hotel with a funky vibe (in a good way). The room was a bit small and it lacked some amenities but the bed was very comfortable and for a downtown hotel it was quiet.
A couple of minor gripes:
1) the in room coffee is pretty lame
2) the bathroom could use a couple of towel racks
3) charging $8 for a water bottle is ridiculous
