“Really nice stay that is quite close to the bamboo forest entrance. The owner ran the front desk and was so sweet. She left a heartfelt personalized card in our roommwith two perfect origami. The room was really great - she made us aware that there are limited views because of the location, but ymwe could still see the Arashkima forest from our balcony.
Nespresso in the room (huge plus!), high quality green tea with a beautiful tea set, and great japanese amenities.”
“Otroligt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Vi hade ett rum med eget träbadkar och liten trädgård. Sov gjorde vi på futon. Var förvarnad om att de kan vara obekväma, så hade med liggunderlag att ha under. Fantastisk mat.
Ligger en bit utanför centrum, men tåget från Saga-Arashiyama går ofta och snabbt.

“Maten är toppen men om du är västerlänning så beställ inte frukosten (waist of money då det inte är mycket du kan äta). Boka deras Secret air onsen i god tid innan (det är väl värt pengarna). Hotellet har gratis pick-up och lämning på Kameoka stationen. Kameoka ligger bara 15-20 min med tåg från Kyoto!”
“Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. ”
“The whole stay was a uniqe experience of Japan. The hotel in not brand new but the personel made this journey unforgettable. Exiting sleeping and sitting on the floor in our room. The dinner and breakfast felt like presents. Especially the breakfast looked so beautiful, a new years breakfast. I am sorry we didn't have time for a walk to the shrines. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but they have a shuttlebus and are very helpful to fetch you up and drive you to a station in the morning.”

“Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. ”

It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient.”

“Vi var otroligt nöjda med vår vistelse på denna ryokan! Vi tog en lokal buss från Kyoto, biljetten ingick i våra JR-pass. Vi möttes av fyra-fem personer i receptionen som hjälpte oss med incheckning. De ledde oss till vårt rum och visade var matsalen och onsen låg.
