“My stay at the Plaza was excellent. However, I made the regrettable mistake of dining at the restaurant found within the hotel called The Plaza Grill and Tavern where I was treated so poorly that instead of extending my stay for a second night I left early. The Plaza Hotel would do well to completely disassociate itself from the Plaza Grill and Tavern. In fact, I will not return to the Plaza Hotel so long as a certain employee named Brian at the Plaza Grill and Tavern is still employed there....

“El Pueblo Lodge is an older charming hotel/resort in Taos. It is well maintained, clean, and convenient to the Taos Plaza. The complimentary breakfast is extensive and well staffed by friendly helpful people. There is on site parking near the rooms. Two of the buildings are two floors but do not have elevators. However, the staff carried our luggage up to our room. If we get back to Taos, we will definitely stay at the El Pueblo. ”

“It was an okay room, could have been a bit cleaner. Shower was a little iffy but had hot water. No bells and whistles but wasn't expecting much since it is in such a small town.”

“Love this property, however, room is a little more worn than shown in pictures. I was upset to learn on arrival that the pool wasn’t functioning and that was never conveyed to us. Also, they advertise an onsite restaurant, which was closed 2 of 3 days we stayed. Breakfast on the day we checked out was very good.”

“Told to go to a certain address to check in; no one there. Called number on flyer on door; had to drive a bit to get to our room. Older property, small, really about a 7/10 but for one night, gave it 10/10. Looked like it was closed; nothing bright and cheery like the picture shown on the internet.”

“Was very surprised to show up here and have it look the way it does because it looks nothing like the photos online - there is no cute cabin or air streams, it’s just the motel. It’s in a pretty sketchy area with no where really to walk. The room itself is small but clean and good enough. The AC unit is super loud and turns on and off all night so didn’t get much sleep. Just think they should be more upfront with how the property actually looks.”

“We stayed at this property during Spring Break, from March 15th to 19th, 2026, and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was exceptionally clean, well‑maintained, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. Its location is very convenient and close to the ski area, which made our trip even better. “Staff and room were both excellent. Restaurant is on site. The hotel fronts a main road with a traffic light directly in front of the hotel. Traffic is very noisy accelerating from the light, especially for a room close to the road. Take earplugs.”
