This hotel is currently under renovation and now has a new name, “Glorieta”. Expedia did not specifiy either of these things so arriving to this hotel was incredibly confusing. Our suggestion would be to contact the hotel directly instead of third party websites before booking to avoid disappointment.
During our stay the restaurant was not open and the hotel overall felt very unfinished. There was also a dampness to our room and very few amenities.
The hotel pool and outdoor courtyard was pretty and manicured but the side door that led into the hotel was never latched or locked so the public had access to these spaces. The gym area was untidy and disorganized, and the equipment is unsafe.
Although the panoramic mountain view from the hotel is gorgeous, the hotel feels isolated from other businesses and the historic downtown area. It’s about a 30 minute walk to downtown which is definitely worth the visit. Unfortunately if you don’t have a car or don’t want to walk, getting an UBER can be somewhat challenging.
The hotel staff were very professional and helpful in suggesting ways to mitigate our disappointment. The hotel has so much potential and we’re excited to see what it will look like once the renovations are complete.
