Dear Andy, I so sorry to hear that you had issues with this lovely home. Many have spoken so highly of the home , the many decks with swings, and the proximity to the beach. Please in the future if you find issues with a home let us know. We could have easily remedied some of the issues. We have a full time maintenance staff and housekeeping department. We are sorry to see that this stay has been exaggerated to what actually occurred. I had several conversations with you about the appliances and we sent our staff over immediately. The gentleman in your party showed behavior that was questionable to our maintenance manager and the owner of the company so they departed. The company made the decision to try an outside vendor to make the repairs which they did. All appliances are in working order. Also, we have a full time housekeeping staff available for any home that needs attention. This was never reported during the stay and there were no pictures of such . We work hard to try and make every home pristine upon arrival. We have no less than 3 inspectors go in the home to ensure good quality. This description of the stay is less than truthful. Dear Rachel, We are so happy this cottage was the perfect fit for you and your family. It is the perfect location to visit since the beach is so close . The proximity makes it much easier to carry those beach items the owner left for you to use. We also appreciate you sharing what items need to be addressed in the home. We will communicate with the owner on the suggestions you have. I know he plans on visiting in the off season to do some upgrades and this information about the couches will be addressed. I so wish we had some sort of control of the construction that is going on. They should be about complete by now. The allotted hours are from 8-5 each day. At least they could hold off till 8 . Dear Matt, We so appreciate you taking the time out of your day to share your experience in one of our properties. This home often gets great reviews so we were some what surprised of your observations but very grateful. We as employees do not live in our properties so we rely on our guest eyes and ears for information about the unit. We are aware that there are many items on the project list for this owner. We started with the most invasive task of replacing all rotten boards on the outside decking. The many decks of the home are the reason guest enjoy this property. You receive the wind off the gulf and its just perfect late afternoon to sit on the swing chair outside. I will let guest know that NEW CUSSHIONS have been ordered for the outdoor swing. As most are experiencing now, there is a delay in shipping. As soon as they are in, we will replace them. The icemaker in the main house is repaired and we will have maintenance take a look at the outside fridge to see what the issue is there. Once all scheduled tasks are completed, we will be getting new photos to place on all 3rd party websites. We will also add detailed instructions to get to the beach to so there is no confusion. As you mentioned in the first of your review this is a very comfortable home and it has been one of guests favorite this year. We will continue to work our way through the punch list between bookings until all projects are complete. We hope you are planning on visiting the area in the near future? We especially love you shared what updates that the home is needing. As much as our staff would love to experience a stay in this cottage, we do not live there for a week. We rely on our guest and housekeepers to notify us if something needs to be repaired. The good news is the owner is very receptive to replace and repairs things when needed. He has ordered new swing cushions for the outside swing and also will be replacing the slip covers. We will have a professional tile service to come in to do the grout. Our cleaners do not have enough time to do a deep clean between summer bookings but we will have the grout addressed quickly. We hope you are planning to visit the area again in the near future.
