“I stayed at 5 different accommodations during my visit to Japan, and Ryokan Plum was by far my favourite - it was a shame that I could only stay for one night! I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. The bath is lovely -- staff help you book a time in the evening at check in, and it's available on a first come first served basis in the morning. “Lovely hotel up in Gora. Stayed for two nights as a relaxed stop between Tokyo and Kyoto which it was perfect for. Two nights is enough to see the major sights around Gora such as the Open Air Museum, the sulfuric volcano vents and Fuji. The room was traditional and neatly kept. Breakfast was good albeit a bit for or western tastebuds. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant so can't say how it was. Very convenient that the hotel is next to the train and cablecar station.”

“As a first time experience at an Onsen, it sure was a treat. A very nice and cozy place, with a helpful staff and great amenities. A bit hard to find at first (a single door at the end of a parking lot), but once you find your way it is a great little place for relaxation and Onsen baths. “Despite the older building, its very clean and well taken care of. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are older in design but big. Everything is incredibly clean. Its near a lawson and the blue line. Getting around is very easy.”
