The shutters block out the noise that always happens, everywhere, in Venice during the day. It is only about 100 feet/30 meters from the Hotel Scandinavia. Knowing this will help you figure out how to get there. It is about 12 minutes from the Realto bridge (Orange Line ferry) from the airport. Your phones directions will often get confused, due to the tall brick...

“Pretty much the perfect stay in Venice. Relatively quiet and mercifully AWAY from the massive tourist crowds (early April). But only 5 minutes (walking) from Academia bridge, 10 minutes from Rialto, 10 minutes from San Marco. Good coffee and dining options close by. Clean and spacious, we would happily stay here again.”
