“Had a very nice stay. Property as described”

“We arrived at 6 pm and the cleaning people were still there. The owner had forgotten our booking until I contacted him at 4 pm for check in instructions. We were not able to get inside before going to a concert. When we got back at 12 am, the cleaner had not locked the door and the other door was left open/ajar, in not the best neighborhood. The place itself was as described. ”

“Shelwyn was awesome to deal with. He responded ASAP when we had a question about the shower. Was upfront and helpful. He was in his house on the property but gave us our privacy. The last day of our stay he said take your time getting out because he didn’t have another booking following us. Worked out great as we were moving onto a bigger spot with the rest of our family on Saturday but couldn’t check in until 4. Thank you Shelwyn for everything and being so easy to deal with- we will be back !!”

“Myself and my very good from high school were celebrating our 60th birthdays. We and our spouses spent the day in Skaneateles, took a boat tour and shopped. We had an excellent dinner at Elderberry Pond and stayed at Steel hideaway.It was a good location, clean, and we loved the deck. The owner was extremely responsive when I had some trouble getting in and then leaving, both my fault and lack of knowledge. The owner was patient and responded quickly which we appreciated. “Love the old homes with the super high ceilings! They have a lot of class and charm. Everything was in walking distance. Would highly recommend the Balloons restaurant, for their top notch service and food. If you want see the historical sites in town, check the sites online info. Some sites and restaurants have limited availability in the winter months. ”

“We had a fabulous time staying here while visiting the area. The layout was great for our family of 4, the kids loved the pool and balcony, and we found it peaceful to be right on the lakefront and near many parks and attractions. We also appreciated the access to a washer/dryer, an extra convenience when traveling with little ones. “We could not have asked for a better stay! The apartment is beautiful! We felt like we were transported to the 1850’s, but with all the modern amenities you could hope for, including the most amazing walk-in rainfall shower! John and Sven were such gracious and accommodating hosts. They made some great recommendations, including Sauder’s, which was an amazing grocery store and market with delicious breakfast sandwiches. We can’t recommend the apartment highly enough!”
