“A quiet and peaceful spot.”

“We only stayed for 3 nights but enjoyed our time. We easily commuted to Skye each day for wonderful hiking, returning to a cozy home by the water. Anna was wonderful, there was an issue with the internet, we didn’t even know was a problem until she reached out with a plan to have it fixed. Before we returned from hiking she had dispatched her local contact to fix the issue. We loved the efforts Anna took to maintain the original feel of the home, while updating where necessary - best shower!!!...

“What a unique property! If you are looking for solitude, rustic but totally unique accommodation, and a delightful and informative host, this place will suit you. No TV, no neighbors, just the tranquility of the lake! Great cooking facilities. Parking is tough but doable. Thanks for 2 great nights and the hike you recommended- superb!”

“Large spacious and cosy house. Wonderful scenery around the village, the gateway to the Isle of Skye 20 minutes away, and what feels like the only chocolaterie in the whole of Scotland within walking distance. Of course, as almost everywhere in the Highlands, you should have a car with you, as public transport is not as frequent as you might be used to in cities.”

“We had a one night stay I. The property and loved it. A self contained well equipped self catering property with lots of space. Beds were comfy and the place was nice and warm. Would definitely come again ”

“Overall, the stay was great! The house was big and the host provided a lot of extra niceties. The only problem we had was inconsistent internet and wifi, but that is to be expected with a rural property. We also found the front door difficult to lock, although as Americans, we may have just not understood how the lock worked.”

“Home is a bit off the beaten path but wonderful accommodations and location. Very roomy with large kitchen and front sitting room. Views of the Atlantic were as promised and there were flowers everywhere. There is a wonderful local pub and hotel restaurant only a very short stroll away”

“While not in town, we enjoyed the beautiful home, the location to visit Skye and the surrounding countryside. Home maybe not be for the people who want a town experience, but it is a beautiful and comfortable home for the tourist.”

“We’ve had five nights in this cottage. We where surprised about the landscape driving towards the cottage; lakes, hills and sea. We saw sheep cows and deer. The cottage was a perfect gift to explore the Isle if Sky. Wood for the fireplace, wine on the table and fresh made cake. We where a bit early but very welcomed by Dorothy and Andy. The view looks like a moving painting. I have never seen so many stars in the sky. We went to bed before 9 and slept till 7 like a baby. We lived the history of...
