Perfect place to stay!
Great location, beautiful home, and excellent experience. Highly recommend. John (owner) was easy to communicate with and made check-in/out a breeze. The kitchen has a nice assortment of spices plus appliances like toaster, blender, handheld mixer, and baking dishes. Cozy fireplaces in the living room, master bed/bath, and downstairs living area. The local market is a short (10-15 min) walk or 4 min drive and is well stocked. Someone also came by to clear the driveway after it snowed which was so nice. Definitely bring chains in the winter but the main road was well plowed and while Bella Coola Dr had snow, we didn’t end up needing the chains (had AWD). Overall a great home base for a holiday weekend of snowboarding and winter fun.

Highly recommend
First of all John is very communicative and easy to reach. The home is updated and beautiful. The actual home is very clean but unfortunately the previous guests don't wash up very well. Most pots, glasses etc. we needed to give another wash before using. It sleeps 8 in beds very comfortably, but the couch is certainly for young children. The location is great, I would highly recommend this home to stay in.

Lovely lodge, lovely setting!
We very much enjoyed our stay. One picture of the many accurate photos of the lodge I was intrigued by was the deck. The weather on October 6 and 7 was very nice and allowed us to be outside to sit and visit with each other, and we so enjoyed lunch there in the woodsy outdoors. The accommodations were first-class. It was nice getting to speak to the owner, John, over the phone. He offered his help with anything we would need while in South Lake Tahoe. An extensive coffee and tea center would be the only plus we could offer. I would love to spend a week at the lodge!

Loved the neighborhood and location!
Loved the neighborhood and location to everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer! We were even treated to a mama bear and her 2 cubs exploring the front yard one morning about 9:00am! Beds were super comfortable and house very well equipped with everything needed for preparing meals at home! Only complaint was no instructions on how to operate TV but owner replied that they will be including for next guests. We did figure it out on 2nd to last day of our stay! One more suggestion, black out shades in all bedrooms would be great since sun wakes you up at the crack of dawn! Only 1 bedroom on 2nd floor had them and we had to draw straws to see who got that room! Loved the water pressure in the master shower! Would totally stay again!

Relaxing stay for family gathering
The property is located in Meyers, just a few miles from South Lake Tahoe. The house is very clean, comfortable, has every amenity imaginable. The backyard was perfect for my 2 and 3 year old grandsons. My adult children were very happy with the large deck, central location to many local attractions, and the secure Wi-Fi. Every room is very comfortable and the bathrooms are perfect. John was a very responsive host. We highly recommend this location and host.

Beautiful Homey Location
My husband was turning 60 and I wanted to get our family together in one location to play in the snow. (My husbands favorite thing to do). The home had a great location and was in a very quiet neighborhood. Checkin/checkout was very easy. The owner answered any question we had immediately. The house was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you John and Cindy for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Truly Paradise
This spacious house was gorgeous and stocked with everything needed for our stay. The first thing I noticed was how clean every room was. The living area was much bigger than it looked in the pictures, which made it perfect for our family with small children to roam and not feel like we were on top of each other. The owners were very accommodating, and with the extreme snowfall during our trip they made sure that the driveway was cleared daily. Perfect place for a family getaway.

Beautiful stay in the snow
We came for a stay with our children, their grandparents and aunt and uncle. The home way clean, well stocked and gorgeous. There was more than enough room for everyone to both gather and relax on their own. There was a large winter storm during our stay but we were still able to get out and about thanks to consistent snow plowing of both the residence road and their driveway. When the weather wasn’t appropriate for our kids to be on the mountain slopes we had a great time making a toboggan run on the property. And after a long day I. The snow we all enjoyed warming up in the large jacuzzi tub and in front of the many fireplaces. We are looking forward to staying here again on future trips.

Great house
We really enjoyed the house. It was very clean and beautiful. The owner (John) was absolutely amazing, very helpful and understanding. Neighbors were very quiet. Location was great, not far from downtown. We definitely come back for our future visits to Lake Tahoe.

Family Vacation in South Lake Tahoe
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at John and Cindy’s VRBO. The house is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean and very comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The deck has beautiful, comfy furniture to sit outside and enjoy the private setting and very quiet neighborhood . The location is perfect to get out away from the crowds, but close enough to anything you want to enjoy in South Lake Tahoe! We can’t wait to come back !

Great spot!
My husband and I came to visit family in Tahoe with our 1 and 4 year old children, along with my parents and aunt. The setup of the house was perfect for the families, as we could camp out downstairs in our own living area with the two bedrooms and bathroom, and the rest of the family had their space upstairs. John even made sure to provide us with a pack n play and highchair. The house is so convenient to everything, the lake, hiking, food. The photos online almost don't do it justice, the house is such a gorgeous spot to enjoy Tahoe! It was very clean and very well stocked. The large deck was absolutely perfect to enjoy drinks and food in the afternoons in the shade. John was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house
Great location skied Heavenly and Kirkwood all week. We were able to fit in a couple half day hikes in afternoon after skiing in the AM. The house is beautiful with hot tub in the middle of the woods with all the amenities can’t ask for much more. Communications with owner was awesome to answer any questions.

John's Lake Tahoe house was amazing. If you are looking for something family friendly, clean, modern, with EVERYTHING you could think of look no further! Spices! Cutco knives! Lots of pots and pans for cooking - I mean everything. We all felt like we were at home with the fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and even laundry detergent! We brought and left some things such as detergent, dishwashing liquid, and even pasta because we felt like this was home and wanted to treat it as such. We had no clue how amazing the house would be. Most of us skied 3 days straight, but the others who hung back had such a relaxing time. My sister-in-law said she loved curling up on the comfy couch reading a book by the gas fire - which put out a lot of heat! I seriously feel like John is a good friend, not just another VRBO property owner. He had someone come out to look at the dishwasher, service the hot tub, and the morning we left it had snowed about 10 inches overnight- there was a snow plow in the driveway at 7am! Luckily, we parked in the garage, so the driveway was nice and ready for us to get out. The location was fantastic as well. We had two families (9 of us total), so were not too interested in eating out or partying in the casinos. It was about a 12-15 minute max drive to Heavenly parking lot. The only thing I would suggest is making sure you have 4wd in the winter. One night my husband and brother went gambling at the Hard Rock. It was snowing when they came back and they couldn't make it all the way up the hill to the house. They had to run (on foot) back to the house and grab the chains they left. Also they had cable chains on a minivan - which wouldn't make it up the hill the next day. I would suggest carrying heavy duty chains and/or 4wd with snow tires. I would love to go back and have another family vacation in South Lake Tahoe and stay in John's beautiful house!

Gorgeous house in great neighborhood a little away from South Lake while still very convenient
2 families with kids came for a ski & snow weekend. House is gorgeous and cute - huge windows to look out and cute kitschy mountain decor (stuff bear heads on the walls). Great hot tub. It was perfect for those who stayed back on some days. Only thing to watch out for was the driveway is very icy (obviously common in Tahoe this time of year and was no big deal)

We really loved it
We really liked this cabin, because it’s very clean and there’s lots of light in the day because of the big windows. Our kids loved it because it was in a place with lots of trees and had a very big backyard. It’s located in a very quiet location and there’s lots of room around the house.

Amazing property!
The location of this property is perfect. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the State Line area, but close access if you want to be in that area. Beautiful home with a quiet deck including hot tub and table for meals outside. The kitchen is well equipped and a local market is nearby where additional groceries can be purchased.

Beautiful Log home
We came to visit Lake Tahoe but almost didn't want to leave the house. The pictures tell the story. The balcony was one of my favorite places at night with a hot cup of tea. The hot tub is a bit worn but it's nice. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice house!
We had a very nice stay in early May 2019. There was still some snow on the ground and the slopes were still operating. Visiting between the ski and summer seasons was nice as there was little crowds. The house is large and accommodating. Use of the two garages with electric door openers was nice. We were a bit disappointed with the cuisine at the local restaurants. Prices were high, but the quality was only ok... Fortunately, the property had everything we needed to cook at home!

Great Thanksgiving, more than we could have aked for
We spent Our first Tahoe Thanksgiving at this residence. It was perfect! Well kept, Classic setting, Well stocked (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, etc,...), Quiet, 10 minutes from everything and this home presented every aspect of Tahoe Our family could have asked-hoped for. Wonderful getaway cabin!
My family and I absolutely loved this cabin! Beautify and meticulously cared for home. The home was very clean and had all the basics. The first night we were a little cold and some of us had a hard time locating the extra blankets. (We were there on the first cold week in Tahoe, told by locals). Not all the bedrooms had extra blankets. We located them the next day. Beds were firmer than expected for some. The weekend went by so fast, we wish had more time to enjoy the hot tub! Everything was very nice and accommodating. We loved the location of the home. Private enough that it was very quiet and close enough to local restaurants, ski resorts, and shopping centers.

The perfect family vacation
John & Cindy were wonderful to work with and very hospitable. They reached out to us by phone before our trip to introduce themselves & see if we had any questions regarding the home or the area (so nice & peronable). We required a high chair for an infant & they provided one; they also offered early check in which we really appreciated. We were 7 adults and 2 infants (3 months & 15 months old). The bedrooms were private, comfortable and quiet, we weren't able to hear the babies waking up through the night for their feedings from room to room. The home offers lots of room to spread out. It is also close to grocery, shops, restaurants and just 8 miles from Heavenly gondola. The bed linens, towels, decor, and kitchen appliances/supplies were nice quality. Plenty of hot water for all to shower. Also, the owners provided lots of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoos, soaps, laundry & dish soaps, etc for the full length of our 5 day trip and we appreciated not having to purchase those items for our stay. We flew in from Tampa and had a beautiful family vacation in Tahoe; We are thankful for the opportunity to lease this home and will cherish the memories we made there. FYI- Our stay was in early September. There is no air conditioner, and it did get warm during the afternoon, but it cooled off quickly in the early evening. Also, with a 15 month old, we had to keep a close eye on the staircase. We planned to purchase a gate at a close KMart, but there wasn't a way to keep it wedged properly. Neither of these items would detour us from returning to the home. We enjoyed EVERY moment there and would return for a longer stay if the opportunity to travel across the country ever presents itself.

Great House, Great Mini Vacation!
Such a great time in this beautiful home! Very spacious, super clean and very well equipped! Close to all the action, but far enough away for a really peaceful getaway. The hosts were very helpful and quick to reply! We are hoping to book this great house for a holiday ski vacation as well. We've only been home for a few hours and miss it already! :)

Great home! Quiet area! Short drive into town!
We rented this home for the week of 4th of July. 9 people total and we had plenty of room to relax and hangout. The home is not in S Lake Tahoe, but is only a short drive from town. It is in a nice quiet residential area. The home itself is well furnished, has nice decorations, and has everything you need to cook for a large party. The 3rd level deck, which has a bbq grill, spa, and nice table, was great! The owner, John, was quick to handle a Wi-Fi issue while we were there and was great to work with when booking and when I had questions. Just know that the home does not have AC. The upper level was warn during the peak heat of the day, but would eventually cool off with all the windows and doors open. It was also unusually hot while we were there. All in all, a great place to rent. Great owner, home, and location. Would definitely book again. :)

Great Cabin in a Great Location
The cabin was a great place to stay for me and my family when we came to South Lake to get in some snow activities after the holiday season. John was very responsive and helpful with every question I had on the cabin as well as followed through with communications after the stay. The cabin is very cutely furnished, well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen to cook, a hot tub, washer & dryer and gas fireplaces (there are many other amenities I am sure I am forgetting). The Safeway is about 10-15 minutes down the road (there's a back way to avoid 50) and then the Lake Tahoe Adventures for Snowmobile tours is extremely close (3-4 minutes). I cannot recommend this location enough. It is also not on a weird steep street that you know you won't make it up in icy conditions. I would gladly stay at this property again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place near South Lake.
