“We absolutely loved Zelda Dearest. This place has quickly become our go-to when we’re in Asheville — the 1920s vibe, the atmosphere, the staff — all of it just works. Breakfast was fantastic and the perfect way to start the morning before heading out to explore downtown. The location is great too, easy walking distance to everything. If you haven’t stayed here yet, you’re missing out. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Breakfast was sonething different each morning. Fresh fruit, meat, frittata, coffee, juice were all excellent. Room was veey comfortable and we appreciate the upgrade where we had our own porch.”

“The Reed room was very nice with fireplace, jetted tub and private Mountain View. It is a grand old lady so u do hear footsteps and noise above and around but for the most part it was a nice stay. Breakfast was great and staff very pleasant.”

“Easy yo find and literally within a mile of the gate of Biltmore Estate. The hotel was clean and nice and staff very friendly. Decent choice of breakfast items. Room was clean and comfortable. iticky items were towels were a bit stiff, not as soft as expected, and TP was an inferior quality expected at this price point. All in all a very good choice for a quiet and comfortable stay!”

“From arrival to departure, everything was wonderful here. From complimentary glass of wine at check in, to the friendly valet upon leaving we were treated like valued friends. Loved the rooftop bar. And the speakeasy in the basement was a gem. We will be back!”

“The room was very nice. Bathroom was beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very nice. Continental breakfast brought up to the room was a great morning surprise. Location obviously was convenient to everything. Only complaint is that the free play arcade was awesome, but machines were not that well maintained. Both pinball machines and one of the skeeball machines needed maintenance. Didn’t help that a couple parents were letting their kids run amok and climb all over the...

“Big room. Clean. Very unique. Quiet. *However, one end of the hotel is where trash pickup is and one morning, it was like 5 am and very loud-beeping and picking up the big dumpsters & slamming. That was my only complaint. It didn’t make sense that it was that early. ”

“Rooms are spacious, wonderfully appointed with soft robes and good coffee. Very comfortable beds. The location is perfect, close to shops, spas, breweries, restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again. ”

“Easy valet parking, great breakfast and happy hour, rooms are good size, indoor pool, perfect downtown location. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. We love Asheville!”

“Valet service seemed mainly focusing on their own importance… Reception personnel was great, nice an helpful Red Stag service was not up to the standard that you expect at this type of hotel The room was ok but nothing to “write home about”. All and all not really worth the time and money.”
