“Very beautiful Inn. The rooms are very clean and quiet. There are lots of sitting areas on the property, and a pier that you can walk out on to view the bay. The breakfast was wonderful. There is a small bar downstairs, but we weren't sure if it was in operation. The check-in was a bit awkward. Hotels.com had listed that I would receive an email from the Inn within 5 days of my reservation. I never received an email from the Inn, so I emailed them and didn't hear back. “Ironclad was a wonderful place right in Fredericksburg, close to the town and restaurants. Our room was on the 2nd floor, no elevators, but it was okay. Sadly, the Bourbon room was closed, but the staff was ice enough to let us go down and look at the room. Very cool, would stay again!”
