Short stay

The pics makes it look big but it was perfect for my husband and me. The 2nd bathroom is oddly placed in the garage just outside the kitchen but the house is quaint so it was easy to get to. The location is convenient, close enough to the things we wanted to see and do but not so close to experience all the ruckus. It was a tranquil stay.

Issues, but still Pleasant

It was a neat appearing home. There are NO lights to turn on with switches when entering bedrooms and living room from doors, pull cord lamps had to be left on. Garage light happens ONLY by using button on wall garage door opener. Ceiling fans work, have slight rattles at tumes, but NO lights. There's a neighbor 3 houses down who walks their lab & husky twice daily on vacant lot next door which is rather annoying! A jet port on pool was broken on arrival, remotes did not work for pool lights. Didn't feel like place was very secure or private, no blinds or curtains for dining kitchen facing canal. Fire extinguisher hangs in garage, not in main house. The "detector" is in living room no where near any appliance for CO2 - as hot water tank in garage. Received only 1 answer from my host out of 4 separate inquiries sent for different matters. No beach towels, no pool floats/toys. Had to hit DG and WalMart down road to buy. Not much for tourism advertising in listing or in home...LOTS TO DO within 30 minute drive besides TAMPA! Past reviews mention bikes, etc. Never used kayaks, never used fire pit (no fire poker, etc avail). Nice? Yes. Needs more work? MOST DEFINITELY! Its like a quickie repair was done after Helene blew through just to get the vacation home "money maker" listed again! Would I stay again? Yes.

Not worth it

Waste of our vacation, we hoped that we could enjoy the stay but met with multiple issues. Air went out one hour before we arrive. Things happen I get it and they were quick to address the issue. The overall look of the house was outdated and dirty. Furniture could use a deep clean. The outdoor space was in need of repairs. Hole in screen, the dock needs a full overhaul and the pool was very small. Mattress pad with shoved into the closet one of the bedrooms. The towels were in the other closet, not in bathroom. Bikes were run down and needs repair. The neighbors allowed their renters to park in our drive because we only had one car. Cleaning lady addressed the parking situation but basically we were leaving that morning

Villa Tranquility is Villa Nervous Breakdown

The property is not adequately represented in the pictures and description. The Evolve rental company is not responsive adequately to deal with. Unorganized and unfriendly. Property wasn’t cleaned we’ll Bugs in carpeted bedrooms and beds. Possibly bedbugs. Not a true 2 bathroom 2 one in garage not truly in home. Inadequate water pressure in showers not always heat maintained. Sleep sofa old and broken up tearing and dirty.. pictures did not represent home some things were different, such as garage bathroom pictured with door and newer looking. Badly needs updating in hall bath bugs were on wall evidence of something eating bathroom sink. I tried repeatedly to leave this property early as I needed to be by full bathroom this slept on sleep sofa . And son had to be by bathroom this the hall bathroom. He was covered in bites from the bedroom. I was sleeping on a broken dirty caving in sleep sofa. Hard to wash my hair as hard to keep hot water and water preassure in outdoor bathroom at times. We are both Imunocompromised and the house was quite frankly impacting our conditions. I also cannot due to not having Covid antibodies, have anyone in home while there. I tried to leave with a week left and was referred to several people who kept giving me various times they would return calls to tell me if I would get money back if I left. It took days no real answers except to say need exterminator to inspect but I said I cannot have people in when I’m there! I got more and more upset and my son and I were both frustrated and upset with the run around. I began a process to leave thus stripping beds etc.. I spent 2 days washing and disinfecting items to bring home all my things in case it was indeed bed bugs not to bring them home to my home! I also kept trying to get answers on leaving. Evolve instead of any comfort barred me from communication with them not understanding or caring my extreme upsetting fear for my health with not only the house issues but the stress. Such a horrible situation that with better customer service and compassionate handeling could have been much different. The home should be listed as a cozy 2 bedroom small cottage with a king bed room and a twin room and one in-house bathroom and a garage bathroom to wipe off beach sand. Under those conditions not a fit for a 59 year old Imunocompromised woman. The home should have been better cleaned and inspected upon our arrival. And the customer service prompt and cohesiveness in situation.

The neighborhood was very quiet House was clean A little small in the eating area but we made it work The heated pool(85°) was very nice since we did have some days in the low 60’s overall we would stay here again

Friendly Community

The only reasons this was not five stars. The property is in need of updating. The main bathroom and smaller bedroom has a wet smell. The house was pretty clean and the kayaking was wonderful. The neighborhood is fun to walk around and visit local establishments.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed our stay. The pool was nice for a family of 4 to hangout and play. The property was clean and well stocked with essential kitchen items. We really enjoyed having the kayaks on site to use whenever we wanted to and totally loved the kayak launch. Would recommend bringing extra towels. For a family of 4, the house was stocked with 4 bath towels, 2 bath clothes, and 1 hand towel and no dish towels, and a few beach towels. Not a big deal, but based on listing, expected there would be more and wished we had a few more. Would recommend this property for a relaxing, family vacation.

Wonderful property!

My family and I had a relaxing vacation here. The house is very clean and homey. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked. And the pool is wonderful! There are plenty of floats and pool toys. My kids has an absolute blast. We enjoyed eating on the patio, and we made s’mores over the fire pit. Ashleigh, the property manager, was quick to respond and very helpful when I had questions. We were all very happy with our stay! Thank you!

Peaceful Getaway

Property is well maintained and in a great little neighborhood. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The kayaks were fun and the outdoor space was great with the pool. I recommend getting the pool heat turned on, water was frigid even with the sun out all day and temps at 80 degrees +. The local “Beach” area is not open to the public but Pine Island is a quick drive and has a great area on the beach.

Great Florida home

The house made me feel right at home. Kid friendly and the pool was nice. Was a little sad to find the kayaks had broken seats. I spoke to the property manager about this and she said she would make a request to the owner to repair. Even though they are still usable I was hesitant to take my kids out without a back support. Besides that we had a great time. Eat at the Sunset Grill and Brian’s Place. Avoid Bayport Inn Restaurant.

Great place

Loved the house. The pool was great and being right on the water with kayaks was awesome too. The kids really enjoyed it. The town is very small not a lot to do super close by. But we definitely enjoyed the quiet relaxing vacation. Tampa is only an house away there is great water park and theme park there

Peaceful and Comfortable

Peace of mind knowing that we were in a great neighborhood allowed us to enjoy our stay. Comfortable accommodations. Pool was nice to have all to ourselves. Kyacks were great to have access to use without the hassle of renting.

Most relaxing trip ever!

This is our first trip to Hernando Beach and we found the area perfect for a easy, quiet getaway. The house was stocked with a lot of helpful items and we enjoyed our stay so much it was hard to leave! Very clean, nicely updated and decorated, and lots of family fun.
