Let me start with the good, so that I can be fair and honest about the entire stay. The condo itself is in a great location, in decent shape, mostly well stocked and without the below issues would be nice.
So, why the 2 star review? I'll go from bad to worse. Like a prior review mentioned, there was a loud high pitched noise from the toilet every few hours. This was especially fun while trying to sleep. We called the Vacasa rep and at first her only suggestion was to just flush toilet. She did schedule a plumber but we didn't know that at first. No sorry for the inconvenience etc, just flush the toilet when you hear the sound, even at 3am. The plumber did come out and fix it so it was fine for the rest of the trip.
During the trip, I felt dizzy and lightheaded when in the condo most of the time. We brought a CO detector and it was clear, but as soon as we would leave I felt fine. Return from dinner and felt awful again. We did find mold in the washer ring seal when we went to wash the towels before leaving. I can't say that was definitely the problem, but still gross. My son also complained of feeling dizzy once or twice, but my husband felt fine the whole time.
This was the biggest problem. When we arrived and got settled, we immediately noticed little bugs all over the place. They were on the coffee table, the kitchen counters, kitchen sink, and by the sliding glass doors. At first we accepted it as just being in Florida. But they end up in your food, your cups, on us, everywhere. They got into EVERYTHING. All our snacks and food that wasn't in the fridge had to be put in ziplok bags. If you sat them down for 2 min, you had to check your food. They got into boxes of cookies, candy, anything. We finally called after 2 days and our rep got a bug guy out to us the next day without question. He set a few traps around and explained that they're "ghost ants" and they like sweet stuff, water, and hide under stuff when not eating. The traps helped but we still had to keep our food in bags and they would always live in the sink, in our towels etc. We just can't believe this place was cleaned well based on the # of bugs. By the time we got to day 4 we had enough and decided to pack up and leave the next morning. We let Vacasa know and asked about any refund based on our experience. They took a few days to talk with owner and told us no refund would be issued at all. We couldn't have been more disappointed in our first post-Covid vacation.
