Perched on 1 acre on the East side of Roundhead Mountain, its namesake, Roundhead Mountain Lodge, is a beautiful, newly-renovated chalet offering spectacular, panoramic views of the Shenandoah National Park across the Ida, Pine Grove and Tanners Ridge.  With pine paneling throughout, 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 of which are master suites with 15-foot vaulted ceilings, along with a large wraparound deck, and upstairs balcony, you will be in the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing getaway.   The Master Spa hot tub is conveniently located on the deck where you may contemplate the idyllic surroundings and benefit from its exclusive therapy features: Stress Relief Neck Seat, Bio-Magnetic therapy system, among others. And, of course, you will be a stone’s throw from the many activities that the Shenandoah valley and its national parks have to offer.

A Video Surveillance camera monitors the exterior parking/driveway of our home. A photo of what is monitored can be seen in the photos. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy/pets and other policies noted in our lease agreement.

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main roads are paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. AWD or 4WD vehicles are required.  During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $2500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $59 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
