“The room itself was clean but the entire property is dated and looks nothing like the photos. The exterior has not been kept up. The first floor hallway had an unusual odor, although it did not permeate into the room. Breakfast looked to be just cold cereal although I did not actually have breakfast there. When I emptied the melted ice from the ice bucket into the sink, there were a multitude of brown flecks of who knows what left in the sink. Exterior doors to the property didn't lock, so no...

“Hotellmanagern + en äldre kvinna visade ingen som helstservicekänsla. Under vår roadtrip i mellersta USA insåg vi att vi skulle få det väldigt tufft att hinna till Red Wing den dag vi hade planerat. Vi ringde därför och sa att vi blir en dag sena, men ändra inget i vår bokning. När vi anlände vid middagstid dagen efter, förväntade vi oss att kunna få vårt rum för att duscha och vila lite,men inte!!! Incheckning efter kl 3 på em gällde. -Men vi har ju rummet betalt sedan igår, påpekade...

“It was the best decision to stay at st james. It really gives you a royal , vintage and heritage vibe. The rooms are luxurious, majestic & king like . The Restaurant “Scarlet kitchen & Bar” is the best restaurant in town, the food we had was very flavorful , clean & made with love. The staff was very very generous & humble. The location is right in the middle of the town, everything seems to be at a walkable distance. Would highly recommended this place to everyone.”

“They greeted us when we arrived and taught us the history of the property. The cottage was a great place to stay and we loved the grill and fire pit!”

“Photos online look better than in person. Overall condition is ok but could use updates and improvement- and some minor upgrades in towels and linens would help. Complaints- The bedroom carpet was dirty and storm doors don’t lock. Positives- Location is convenient and parking was good. Hosts are obviously trying to provide a good experience for guests. ”
