“I stayed at Cosy Corner Cottage for a short break in the Peak District. The property was loveThe property is tucked away at the end of a path. Clear instructions were provided on how to access it. Whilst there's no parking directly outside, there is plenty of parking available on the road nearby. The outdoor seating is off to the side of the property in a little passageway. It's very quiet, but you may spot some of the local neighbours. There's also a handy Coop a short walk away, which is open...

“Beautiful cottage nestled away from the main town but still centre is a couple of mins away . Lovely and quiet . Well equipped even to a much needed plaster when I cut my finger . Plenty of storage in the bedroom and a comfy bed . Bathroom is small but room to store your toiletries .”

“Lovely spacious clean cottage, very well equipped. Owners were attentive nice people. Summer or winter very comfortable place to be. Good position for visiting lot's of places. Lovely patio to sit in looking out towards the cattle in the fields, watching sunset or rise! We would definitely stay again. Thank you.”

“really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”

“A wonderful property, spacious, clean, convenient. Two bedrooms with 2 twin beds, two bed rooms with Queen beds makes ample room for large familes or friends. A well equipped kitchen. The Nisa and fruit/veg stand nearby have everything one needs. Would recommend for a Peak District getaway.”

Wasn't keen on open plan bedrooms upstairs, where one could see and hear everything that was said and done in the other bedroom.”

Great location with walks from the door and well placed to explore the Holme Valley, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Coal Mining Museum and for wandering off to the Peak District. Also convenient for Huddersfield. Quiet location minutes from Almondbury where there are shops, pubs cafe and also from Farnley Tyas and it’s pub. Note: the property is on a bus route to Huddersfield. Would we stay again? Definitely ”

“We have stayed at Broomedge cottages twice now, and have enjoyed it both times. It's well located in the Cheshire countryside in a quiet location, but with conveniences close by. You have a shop and a lovely pub just a couple of minutes walk away. The cottage itself is a great size for a family, with parking spaces just in front of the cottage. You have everything you need for a great family holiday. All you need is a car and you can get around the Cheshire countryside easily and to Manchester...

"Lite förvirrande information i incheckningsautomaten när korten skulle kodas med rumsnummer gjorde att ett inte fungerade. Skyltning till hissar borde vara tydligare när man inte checkar inte manuellt och någon pekar ut, nu gick vi långt bort i hörnet och åkte upp innan vi såg att det var fel rumsnummer där."

"Hotellet var väldigt fint och frukosten var kanon. Tyvärr var det lite slarvigt städat i badrummet och sängen var så hård att både jag och min syster var helt knäckt efter ett par dagar så hade aldrig kunnat stanna fler dagar. Men gillar du att sova på en hård bänk så är det här hotellet för dig. :)"

2/10 Väldigt dåligt

"Stayed at The Townhouse Hotel in feb 2025 and the room we stayed in at the 5th (and highest floor) was very noisy. A loud fan and/or ventilation system on the outside of the building made a very loud noise 24/7, which kept us awake for the entire stay (not 1 minute of sleep for two nights). The windows where not tight/isolated enough to keep the noise out. When we asked to change rooms we were declined. Therefore I cannot grade my stay at this hotel anything other than 1/5, even though everything else was good. I would not book this hotel again and risk sleepless nights."
