"It was an okay stay. In my opinion, the best part of the stay was the nice staff! The rest of the hotel is OK, but not great. We spent 270 USD on the room with the view over the river, unfortunately this stay was not worth it. We booked the room with the view over the river, unfortunately we did not see much of the river as it was dark most of the time. So do not bother booking the room with the view over the river if you are not planning to actually be sitting on your balcony between 11 am and 3 p.m. The toilet was not cosy and the toilet seat was cold. The pillows very actually rather bad, very flat and in the morning I was very stiff in the neck. Selection at the breakfast was okay, but it is far from the best hotel breakfast, however we were totally fine with that. Coffee was good and the plates very absolutely beautiful. The hotel restaurant was amazing, the meat I ordered was truly amazing and one of the best steaks I have had! So skip booking the room, just book something cheaper in Reykjavik, come here for the hike, warm river and the steak at the hotel restaurant. "

"We went here as part of a family trip and rented 3 iglooos. Overall stay was amazing, but there were a few quirks effecting the overall comfort. One of the igloos didn’t have the air conditioning working, which left the igloo quite cold. Thankfully they had additional space heater in the room. Size of the igloos is perfect for one person, but when two people space becomes quite cramped. Still manageable for light packers. Final quirk was lack of wifi in two of the rooms. There was either a password or range issue. Despite all quirks we would love to stay here again. It was great how they managed to create privacy and sense of seclusion in the igloos. "
