âStayed in sunset overwater bungalow. Worth the money. Great facilities. Best breakfast buffet in my life, seriously. They had everything and then some, in HIGH quality. None of these bulky buffets where the taste is mediocre. Here, everything was amazing.
Coral garden was ok. Stand up paddles were good. Jet ski tour was loads of fun. Service was top notch.â

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. They have paddle boards, kayaks, towels, and umbrellas to rent. I highly recommend this resort. â

âIt is a fantastic place, we had an overwater bungalow with pool and it was amazing. The only thing we didnt like that there was no small dishes to eat during lunch such like an omelette and the cost for a lunch was to expensive. They should have different price levels during the day. We ate at the fine dining and it was marvellous.â

âOur room (cottage) was perched 180 ft above the beach. It was perfectly outfitted with porch, kitchen, bedroom w king size bed. The bathroom was amazing with separate shower and toilet rooms. Both were overlooking the ocean and beach and entire grounds. The entire building was done in local, highly polished, hardwood. The downside is if you donât have a car rental the taxi fare is 70,000 xfp so stay a few days.â
âAmazing sunsets every day at their own âdockâ. Breakfast was personal and rich. Possibility to rent car AT the hotel for one day, even thought there is not much to see in Raiatea to be honest. NO BEACHES on the island. No joke. Take the Taha island tour if you can.
Room was a bit outdated. Our shower made the whole bathroom floor wet (no drapes). Personnel was very friendly and helpful.
One incident. We found a semi-dead cockroach laying on our floor once checked in. Probably dosed off...

"The pictures look much better than the reality. The hotel is old and worn out.
The service was the most disappointing thing though. I understand the worn out furnitures etc due to the climate and general state of hotels in the area. But the service was poor. Would barely help with restaurant reservations - and when going down to reception to get help, the man working got annoyed I came down for help. He even told me to talk to the restaurant myself and handed me the phone from reception.
Moreover, their restaurant staff does not speak english very well. He would not understand our questions regarding the fish and how it was cooked (pregnant wife) and seemed to get annoyed/frustrated by our questions.
Simply no warmth in this hotel from the staff. The only time the service was (or seemed) good was during check-in when they explained everything and told us they were there for us and to come to them for any kind of questions or requests. But saying it is different than actually doing it.
The waters by this property is not the best either. Only good thing is that Matira public beach is nearby.
I would not come back to this hotel honestly. Our next stay at the Conrad was MILES ahead in terms of service (not even comparing the facilities).
