A good small grocery store is just steps away, and a large Carrefour in town is within biking distance. The room is comfortable, and the bathroom feels new, clean, and fresh. “The pictures look much better than the reality. The hotel is old and worn out. The service was the most disappointing thing though. I understand the worn out furnitures etc due to the climate and general state of hotels in the area. But the service was poor. Would barely help with restaurant reservations - and when going down to reception to get help, the man working got annoyed I came down for help. He even told me to talk to the restaurant myself and handed me the phone from reception....

None of these bulky buffets where the taste is mediocre. Here, everything was amazing. Coral garden was ok. Stand up paddles were good. Jet ski tour was loads of fun. Service was top notch.”

“Amazing sunsets every day at their own “dock”. Breakfast was personal and rich. Possibility to rent car AT the hotel for one day, even thought there is not much to see in Raiatea to be honest. NO BEACHES on the island. No joke. Take the Taha island tour if you can. Room was a bit outdated. Our shower made the whole bathroom floor wet (no drapes). Personnel was very friendly and helpful. One incident. We found a semi-dead cockroach laying on our floor once checked in. Probably dosed off...

“We had a great stay at Havai'i lodge. It's a beautiful and quiet property in a cul-de-sac and the place is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. It's shared with another room, but since we were out and about all day and only had our coffee and breakfast at the place, it wasn't a problem. We recommend having a car on Raiatea as it's much easier to get around this beautiful island. The host helped arrange a car for us, which was nice.”

“The rooms are located on the inland side of the road, while the reception and amenities are by the sea. I loved the room decorations and design with a 70s style. The bed is comfortable, and there is a daybed as well. The surrounding grounds are lush and beautiful. The hotel has great bikes for rent. If you walk or bike north of the hotel, you can reach abandoned luxury hotels and enjoy views over the mountain. “We spent a week in St Regis for our honeymoon and we both agreed that this has been the best trip of our lives. We did the overwater deluxe bungalow and it was the most incredible room I have been in. The glass cut outs in the floor and just how big these villas are made it feel like our own private oasis. “Awesome 3 night stay in early May in a nicely decorated and refurbished over water bungalow. Quiet and tranquil. Spectacular views from all the bungalows and around the property. Excellent service. A hands on general manager who personally greets each guest and who was always available for questions and comments. As an avid paddle boarder I enjoyed use of the boards provided for guests. The bungalows sit in waist deep water perfect for swimming, walking, or watching the Eagle Rays swim by.”
