“Prior to check-in, Sarah was very responsive. The cottage itself was immaculate and so cute. It was a great location for us to stay. Upon checkout, Sarah answered all of our questions nearly immediately regarding what to do with the linens and rubbish. Hoping to stay here again, if our travels bring us in this direction.”

“Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. ”

“Marley's retreat is a lovely snug apartment in a little village just outside Whitley Bay. The apartment is well catered and very dog friendly which was brilliant for us as a family of 4 plus 2 dogs. The village has 2 really lovely pubs, with good food options and the roaring open fire in the Old Fat Ox was very appreciated in the freezing temperatures we had when visiting. Max who owns the apartment and runs the shop just a few doors down was lovely and accomodating and happy to help with any...
