“A lovely stay!We have just returned from a few nights visiting family and friends in and around Newcastle and Sunderland. Saddler's Cottage was a perfect base for our trip. Across the road you have a really good traditional butchers who also sells hot meat sandwiches, you have convenience store for all the little bits. There are two pubs in the village (one had amazing hanging baskets!) we didn't use them this time. The cottage is perfect for a family of 4 and our dog. Fully enclosed garden is...

“The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed.”
