"We were mostly happy with our stay, the room was clean and the majority of staff were pleasant and helpful. There were two days where the room was not cleaned but I expect this was due to staff taking time off over Christmas, it did not really inconvenience us. The biggest issue we had was on two occasions despite the premises being listed as non smoking, there was a smell of cigarette smoke drifting into our room from the corridor. The person on duty did not seem too interested and all they could do was offer to provide us with an air freshener. I also emailed Marston's regarding this issue but as I have not heard back from them, I presume they are somewhat disinterested in the issue also."
