“We had a great stay and the location was very close to Oban which was convenient. However the kitchen was very lowly stocked. Generally with our previous experience with vrbo, there was at least some oil for cooking, which was not the case here. Also, the toilets work very poorly and required flushing 3+ times for even a minimal amount of toilet paper which was a bit stressful.”

“The cottage was clean, cozy, and much larger than I expected! It was in a fairly out of the way location (but not far at all from Oban) that was great for avoiding city traffic. Our host Maureen was very nice and friendly and If/when we travel back to Scotland, and plan on visiting Oban, we would happily stay here again.”

“Short drive to Oban where you can explore all the islands via the ferry. Perfect location. The view from the place was incredible and the place itself was spacious, clean, perfect really. Highly recommend it without any hesitation!”

“A lovely property backing on to the main road to Oban. Had everything we needed for a great extended family weekend. All enjoyed the fabulous hot tub and we made good use of the BBQ and fire pit table in the evenings. A couple of snags and Gillian got on to them straight away, thank you!”

“The cottage is in such a beautiful setting, there’s a bluebell meadow right outside the back door. There’s also a great dog field just a few minutes walk from the door. Very handy to give the dog a run around after a long drive! The cottage is very clean and tidy inside and very cosy. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the log burner as the weather was too nice - not something to complain about though I suppose! We will definitely look to come back in the near future. ”

“Enjoyed our visit to the Castle Sween as well as the Kilmory Chapel. The loop from Talbert to Killberry Castle was stunning. We had an excellent meal in Tayvallich (the mussels were huge) last night there would most definitely visit this area again”

“Perfect place to stay. Excellent location, walking distance from everything including ferry and train station. Apartment has all amenities so you can cook and eat in, but is also very close to tons of restaurants etc. (including right next door). Nicely decorated place as well. Everything was clean and comfortable.”

“Four of us (mum, dad and two adult sons) stayed for a week here. It proved the perfect base to enjoy the area. The house is quite small, as per the description, but it had everything we needed and the most stunning views across the bay. The light changes constantly and if you paint, bring your paints. Turner did and it’s obvious why!! Oban is within very easy reach for shopping, meals out, trips to the islands, the lovely Ganavan Sands and more. We had such a great time and we’d do it all again...

“We could have spent all our time sitting in the lounge or out in the garden enjoying the fantastic views of the islands. We were lucky with weather most of our stay so views were stunning. Only downside was the picture windows in the lounge had trapped condensation on them so the views were restricted somewhat by that. Enjoyed the walk up the hill behind the house most mornings. Great day trips to Mull, Seil and Easdale. Highly recommend the Smiddy cafe in Lochgilphead for coffee/cakes and...
