Remodeled 120 år gammal Adobe, i historiska New Mexico Village

  • En helt ombyggd 1100 kvadratmeter adobe hem, med ett stort sovrum och ett fullt utrustat kök, vardagsrum, badrum med duschkabin. Beläget på High Road till Taos i historiska Truchas New Mexico. De stora fönstren i sovrummet ramar helt upp Truchas-topparna, som på 13,100 fot dominerar den omgivande landsbygden. Det finns också en extra 400 fot täckt portal för en avkoppling under din frukost middag eller happy hour.

    Adobe var helt ombyggd för 10 år sedan med ett nytt kök och badrum - många av de gamla elementen som vigorna och adobe väggarna behölls. Casita är utrustad med traditionella detaljer, inklusive handsnivna möbler, plasterade väggar och trägolv.

    Solpaneler har också installerats under de senaste 3 åren för att minska vårt koldioxidutsläpp.

Its hard to imagine anywhere better to stay if you are in search of beauty, solitude and grace. The hosts were perfect, the property magical. The listing is way understated, this is the place you have been looking for if you want to take in the beauty of the high road and make a few wonderful meals for yourself.

Enjoyable weekend casita getaway

Perfect Getaway

The property is absolutely beautiful and it was very calming and comfortable. Ben was very responsive to our communication. The property was beautifully furnished and the owner shared fresh eggs with us. Everything was just as it was listed and check- in was simple. We will love to stay here again.

This is a beautiful casita with a great Mountain View! The owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had, and everything we needed was provided, such as paper products, cleaners & coffee. The place was really clean and comfortable. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

Absolutely wonderful

The house was gorgeous including the furniture; a New Mexican palace! The location in Truchas was beautiful and the views of the mountains from the back porch were stunning! It was beautifully quiet and the air was clean and sweet. We would love to visit again!

Lovely natural setting with views. The restored adobe house is spacious, beautifully decorated with Southwest flair. Well-functioning kitchen, nice living room and comfortable bedroom. It was quiet, private, and tranquil!

Lovely Cabin and Great Views!

Beautiful, well maintained cabin perfect for a few days vacation. We loved the porch where we sat and watched the sky in the evening. It is a bit out there though so come prepared with whatever you will need.

Relaxing getaway

This is our 3rd stay, and we will be back next year. The house is beautiful and we love sitting on the patio watching light play on the mountains. The hosts are wonderful—thanks for fresh eggs! It’s an easy and lovely drive to Chimayo or even Taos and nice to retreat back into the quiet of this property.

Breath of fresh air

We wanted a place to recharge and escape from our hectic life. This place is off the beaten path and lovely. The stars at night are glorious. A short trek through beautiful country to either Santa Fe or Taos. Quiet, peaceful, comfy! The hooting owl and light snow made it picture perfect. Our hosts were helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again next time we head that way.

Great hideaway

This was my second stay at the Casita. If you love open space, mountain views and absolute quiet, you'll love this place. Very tasteful Southwestern decor inside and a large and fully functional kitchen. I go to write and hike, and the Truchas mountains, which you can see from the bedroom, are full of beautiful trails. I look forward to returning.

Lovely, quiet, comfortable, unforgettable (in a good way!)

The adobe was redone to create an inviting, comfortable getaway between Santa Fe and Taos. The furnishings seemed to have been picked to create a cosy, relaxing home that has everything you need to step away from daily life. It’s quiet, with stargazing opportunities, and rambles around the rural, artsy neighborhood. The host makes a great neighbor..friendly but not intrusive. We’d go back in a second!

Beautiful remote adobe house

The location is remote but beautiful. Truchas is a ways away from everything but if you’re looking for quiet and getting away this is a great rental. We were greeted by the host dog named Buddy and the host Ben showed up soon after we arrived. We needed an extension cord to run our Roku on the TV and Ben showed up in minutes delivering one. Loved staying here and I would definitely recommend it. Lots of room and it feels like home!!!

We wanted to find a place that was close to Taos, Santa Fe and Abiquiu and Truchas seemed like the perfect place. I had never heard of Truchas before, but immediately fell in love with the place and the Casita when I saw it on Vrbo. Usually we stay in town, either Taos or Santa Fe so this was different as it is very secluded in a good way. We live outside a small town in Texas so we were used to having to drive a bit for groceries or restaurants. 30 minutes for both. The casita is a work of art! The furniture and woodwork in the house is amazing, as well as the smooth, calming adobe walls. Extremely peaceful and perfect as our landing place after exploring Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, Taos and Santa Fe.
