“This is a traditional Japanese hotel. Very different from what most western tourists accustomed to. No reception or check in. Very expensive. Rooms are large. There are signs of wear and tear everywhere. The traditional dinner is very expensive and literally inedible. Note: we are very familiar with Japanese cuisine but this was terrible. After not being able to eat anything during the dinner, we opted to Western style breakfast. Could not eat it too. Was terrible. There is no onsen/spa on...

“This is an amazing Ryokan. Close enough to the main attractions but a bit away from the modern parts of the city. It faces the Sai River and has trees, green spaces and walks around it. The rooms are spacious with Tatami mats. We took a suite and while the rooms had a Japanese feel it had western amenities. The breakfast was very good a the staff was helpful. The rooms had a full length balcony from where I sketched the town across the river.”

“Bästa bemötandet i hela Japan. Otroligt charmig och trevlig familj som sköter ruljansen. Mycket kunnig i närområdet och resten av denna vackra stadspärla i Japan. Karta och information om kringliggande restauranger med personliga kommentarer lyfter upplevelsen än mer liksom erbjudandet om varmt vatten till teet i rummet när man kliver in genom dörren. Skulle gärna åka tillbaka, om inte än bara för att stanna här igen och få uppleva den familjära känslan och behandlingen men på ett väldigt...
