“Fire Alarm went off continuously afternoon and late at night. Staff did not provide any assistance until we asked. When we requested they accommodate the issue front desk they pushed back as if this was a normal part of a hotel stay. Terrible stay. Hope they step up their maintenance. ”

Thin walls, 3 tv’s playing loudly until dawn, room smelled strongly of cleaners, doors slamming, drunken arguing in next room and sink backed up. I had pre paid but staff said that the room would be cancelled if I arrived after 3am, when I had phoned from YYZ at 9:30 pm to say my flight was delayed. This caused me a lot of stress. “not a whole lot of parking spaces had to walk far which can feel unsafe especially at night. Staff were not great nor knowledgeable for most things - had to wait over half hour for breakfast to be ready, first night was ok second night was very loud people fighting someone banged on my door, all the manager offered was one free night so I will not stay here again. ”

“We normally stay at the older Sandman, but decided to splurge and try the Sandman Signature for three nights for my husband’s birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t live up to the price. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly both at check-in and check-out. When we mentioned our concerns at checkout, they said they would pass them along to the manager, which we appreciated.
