“Excellent property with two full double bedrooms and a wonderful view from the top of a three-storey building onto the mouth of two rivers (facing eastward, just as the photo says). We loved every minute we were in the property. The town has several nice pubs and a charming coffee shop within 200-300 metres walking (jam session music on Sunday nights in very nearby pub (Beaver Inn, but no sound in apartment). Overnight parking on nearby street is free but costs something (£9?) on nearby big...

“The property was unusual and unique. Loved the location. The room just suited us nicely. The staff were absolutely fabulous, helpfull, full of humour and couldnt be faulted. Food was delicious and the even accommodated the fussy eaters in the group. Highly recommended. Local beer to be tasted!!!”

“Amazing stay, regular visited to Woolacombe in the summers months at the caravan parks. Found this Gem and will be using them again! Perfect location. 10 minutes from Barnstaple and 10 from Woolacombe! The town it’s situated in is also great! The Room was stunning and the hosts were great too.. No iron in the room so I messaged the host and when I got back to my room from a trip into town, there was an iron and an ironing board their waiting for me! Thank you!”

“The Sailors Rest is in a good location within Appledore,close to the main car park. The room was clean, as was the communal access. The view from Room 3 was excellent. A shaver point and shelf in the bathroom would be really helpful, but other than that everything was fine.”

“bathroom toilet not screwed to the floor when you sat on it the toilet tilted, broken tiles on the floor ,tiles replaced with white sealant the rest of the floor had beige sealant. The blinds were broken and let in the light ,right through the night , spoke to owner was told it gets light early in the morning. dog in dining room owner petted dog and continued serving, requested well done toast was told cannot serve you well done toast as against health and hygiene ? Very miserable couple once...
