“First impressions were spoilt be the pot holes in the driveway leading to the car park and the reception area just being a computer situated on the end of the bar. Room was clean and bed very comfy. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Considering the price paid, overall I would give the hotel a score of 7 out of 10”

“Hostlet var väldigt stort och fina fräscha rum! Te, kaffe och mackor fanns grattis som frukost, väldigt sjysst. Var nära till centrum och bussar/tunnelbana. Dusch och toaletterna var också fräscha, skulle rekommendera det här hostlet till folk!”

“The hotel is on top of a lovely, vibrant, atmospheric pub (hence some music until late). Very friendly welcome, helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the pub. The room a little more basic than expected, our "standard" TV did not work but after some help with the WiFi we could get Neflix etc. Bed was clean and comfy, the shower nice and powerful, bathroom a little on the small side. There was a kitchenette however which was great, with kettle and microwave oven, could be useful if staying...

“Great having private access to the rooms, however the stairs are very steep. The room had everything I needed for my short stay but it does feel a little unloved. I will be back.”

“Lovely room, clean and bed very comfortable well worth the stay and value for money”

“We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to.”

“We stayed in room5 top floor 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed for 1. Bedding and towels were new and fresh. Bathrooms were spotless. Small fridge, kettle , toaster and microwave all look new . Coffee /tea complimentary. TV in lounge . We were visiting family so needed somewhere local and pet friendly. We have stayed at a couple of other places where the Mayfield is and can honestly say this one has been the cleanest and most relaxing stay. Love the short walk to shops restaurants and the...
