“Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. ”

“We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!”

“This house was perfect for me, my husband and my sister. We were at a lunch party on Haying Island and we were able to easily drive to Sheffield Park in the light. The parking was so convenient and the cottage was extremely well equipped, not that we needed a washing machine. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. We tried to set off the dishwasher just the once, but the top shelf was attached by elastic bands and so we didn't risk putting anything there. Had we been going to stay longer I would...

“Exactly as described. A lovely English cottage in rural surroundings, but close to all the amenities of Hurstpierpoint and a short drive from Brighton. Comfortable living and dining rooms, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Loved the crisp white linen sheets, the huge bath towels and the nice hot showers. Toys and books for our 4 year old grandson, lovely artwork on the walls, we felt totally at home and loved staying here. We felt as though the hosts really cared about us and hadn’t skimped...
