“Expected a normal hostel as ratings on hostelworld were high. Nope. Cockroaches in the kitchen, in microwave, behind counters and hatches etc. Staff should do a major effort to clean but they lack knowledge and interest. More drugs here than acceptable. Disgusted.”

“We all know how hostels normally are, and what to expect. But this is the worst hostel I have ever been on. I read the some of the reviews, and mostly the text on the web page before and it all sounded so good. And it was nothing like this! It was super dirty and bad looked after. Some examples; dirty towels laying around in all the bathroom floors, wet floor all the time, badly cleaned in general, the chairs in the kitchen were so broken that I did not want to sit on them. “I knew what I was booking, just needed a bed for the night, as departing at 5:30 the following morning. The evening manager was lovely and advised on the possibility of it being quite noisy etc. As it happened it must have been a quiet night in Broome... or the backpackers were all exhausted from previous parties... and I slept soundly in the 10-bed shared accommodation. Definitely recommend!”
