“This place is a gem! The pods are not huge but very cozy - more than what we needed. Finding the place was easy and staff was super nice. Parking is right next to your pod. You will need to bring your beddings or you can rent there for a fee. The little hiking trail right next to it and the wifi/common area was a nice plus, and the spa too! The restaurant offers an amazing view and their breakfast is very decent. A small problem we had was that the washrooms did run out of toilet papers...

“We were able to tour both the national park and the southern coast conveniently without having to move between lodgings. The cabin is pretty new, has a nice view of the mountains, and a hot tub and grill on a pretty deck (though the midges require a head net that the host graciously provided for us). The kitchenette was adequate for us since we weren’t cooking anything more than breakfast. The upstairs bedroom with twin beds would be a great spot for a couple of kids who find it fun to climb up...

“Check in was flawless. Parking is free & easily. The place smelled great. Ocean View was lovely & having access to their scope was a bonus. The espresso machine made a great cup of coffee and beds were very comfortable. Fyi: The reviews I read before our stay said there was a dishwasher & clothing washer. There is NOT. But, the place was clean & spacious, with fun decor! We noticed a little typical wear/tear & the wardrobe closest to the door could use an anchor. It didn't bother us...

“The cabin lives up to its name as it is very cozy and the views are spectacular. We had northern light shows both nights we stayed there and loved the sauna to warm up after a cold day on the glacier not too far from the cabin. The owner communicated very well and check in and out was very easy. We loved that the cabin is off the beaten path but also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Borgarnes. We would definitely stay here when we visit Iceland again. ”

“This is a beautifully situated vacation rental. It has spectacular views, is less than 10 minutes drive to groceries and bakery in Borgarnes, and a good place from which to explore the Snaefellnes Peninsula and the Reykholt Valley. We were fortunate to have amazing Northern lights 2 nights of our 3 night stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and visiting the Krauma spa in the Reykholt Valley. The house is older but well built and stays nice and warm. A few things were a bit quirky - the bathroom does...
