This wonderful penthouse a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco can accommodate up to 6 people, and is the best solution if you are looking for classy and unique accommodation.

With a mix between elegance and modern, the apartment is located on two levels and consists of a large living room with exposed beams with a sofa bed and dining table, fully equipped kitchen, two wonderful bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower. In addition, through a spiral staircase, you can reach the altana, a typical Venetian wooden terrace on the roof, with a breathtaking view: the domes of the basilica and the bell tower of San Marco.

It is also equipped with every comfort such as Wi-Fi internet access, independent heating, air conditioning, washing machine, hairdryer, TV, iron. A well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away.

Its position is strategic because in addition to being practically in Piazza San Marco, it is possible to reach the Rialto Bridge and the Rialto Market in 6 minutes on foot.

Check-ins are possible from 15 to 19. The later ones are possible by prior arrangement and with a small extra payment. Upon check-in, the payment of the tourist tax will be required, which is equivalent to 5€ per person per night, and a rental agreement will be filled out and signed, where the details of a credit card in the name of the guests will also be entered as a guarantee for damages.

The published price includes the commissions that are charged to the resident.

Location was superb. The unit was tricky with lots of stairs I didn’t fully consider with a family full of heavy packers. My husband slipped on the marble stair when carrying a suitcase and hurt his knee and smacked his head into the wall. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but not ideal end of our stay. The hot water didn’t work consistently either. We loved Venice and had a nice trip but don’t think I’d stay here again.

The apartment was perfectly located in between Piazza San Marco and the Realto Bridge. The property was ready when we arrived and the check in/check out was extremely easy. The property was clean, everything was working properly and the apartment had everything we needed for a great stay. Looking forward to going back!

Great stay

Very central location, beautiful roof deck. It was so convenient to both San Marco and Rialto. We had a wonderful visit. Perfectly clean, cool design although the second bedroom requires walking through a space with about 4.5 foot clearance. The only other issue to be aware of is the 4th story walk up. The entrance also had an unpleasant smell that should be addressed.

The views!!

Overall great location minutes away from San Marco! What topped off this stay was the rooftop views..spectacular scene of the city that we will surely never forget! Had minor issues with the washing machine so if you can avoid having to use it would be a good tip! Don’t miss out on this stay!

Gem in the city

This is a very nice, spacious and comfortable two bedroom two bath apartment right by St Marcos Square. More than enough room for the four of us. The rooftop terrace was a nice touch, a nice place to have a glass of wine at the end of the day. The Rent and Relax staff were very responsive and answered messages very quickly. They set up water taxis for us to and from the airport. The apartment is up a few flights of narrow stairs which was fine for us, but be aware there is no elevator to take luggage upstairs, nor is this a place for anyone who has trouble with stairs. Right downstairs from the apartment is a bustling shopping area with restaurants. It can be a bit loud at night, but nothing that kept us up or bothered us. Be careful at some of the restaurants near Saint Marcos Square as they suggest food and wine that is unreasonably priced sometimes and it’s easy to get taken advantage of. That said, there were many people that were very nice to us. I recommend rowvenice.org for a fun activity, a bit off the beaten path. We would recommend this without hesitation!

Great location - would stay again

I stayed here with family of 5 with kids 11,15,16. Fantastic location, clean. We used the sofa bed. We would definitely stay again. I am being overly critical but the only negatives were 1) 4 story walk up for luggage but that is what your teenagers are for 2) the washer is very very small so can only fit 1-2 days of clothes. Might be standard for Venice 3) both bathrooms are on bottom floor 4) outside terrace is nice but no lights for nighttime

Great location

We ended our two week stay in Europe with this apartment. The location was fantastic and within walking distance of major sights and the taxi/gondola boats. Property was roomy and we enjoyed the rooftop terrace every night.

Spectacular location steps from San Marco in the heart of Venice

This was a really special place with plenty of room in a 4th floor walkup (no elevator so just need to be prepared for that). The space was amazing - lots of windows with large bedrooms and lots of light. The extra special part was the rooftop deck which overlooked San Marco and offered a spectacular 360 degree view of Venice, the square and the ringing bells. The two caveats would be that 1) this is not a true VRBO in that it's run by an agency and the place reflects that (that's not a bad thing but just worth noting) there's no personal stuff it's clean and totally user friendly but feels a bit more sterile than someone's home - the agency sent a very helpful person to assist us on check in and that part was really nice and easy 2) you are in the HEART of Venice - so, it's a little noisy - we were there in December so not too bad and b/c you're on the top floor we didn't find it disruptive at all - but would just be prepared for that. All in all this felt like an amazing find and a great place to be.

Great location and home

We stayed in Venice for three nights. The apartment is wonderfully located close to just about everything. It was very easy to find when we got off the water taxi at San Marco. The apartment is beautifully appointed, the bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, and the rooftop terrace could not be beat. The host had turned on the AC for us and the house was nice and cool. Would definitely recommend!

Location & View make this the ultimate stay!

We loved our stay at this property! The location was around the corner from St. Mark’s Square & the views from the rooftop are something out of a movie! The apartment is on the top floor (for the rooftop access & view) and there are only stairs, so be prepared for several winding flights but the apartment is SO WORTH the climb!
