“South Shire is a quaint Victorian Inn on Elm Street within walking distance to the center of Bennington, VT. The Inn has a family feel and elegance. We traveled as a couple. It was easy to get to sites and enjoy fine restaurants. The Inn is in keeping with the feel of strength of the Bennington community, as a place for artists, musicians, and people's expression generally to thrive. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend South Shire.”

“The hospitality Ken and Carolyn showed was by far the best we've experienced, and we travel a lot. They take care of you in such a way so you feel at home already the first steps thru the door... Otherwise a fresh and very nice hotel with incredible family atmosphere. Continental breakfast with freshly baked croissants and homemade cakes included and when you return from a day on the ski slopes, the hot tub is ready and the fire is lit in the common area. Everything about this place was PERFECT! we had the most beautiful room, the surroundings were perfect for a nice walk, the breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so friendly! There is no doubt in our minds we'll be going back here. PS. Note that this B&B is located in Wilmington, VT and not in Brattleboro like our GPS tried to lead us to. It was pure luck we found it.”
