“The host communicated from right after I confirmed our stay. She responded each time I wrote a message and was very helpful and informative. The place was a bit deep in the volcano area and we were very happy with the quiet and privacy. The house was amazing, clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The hot tub sealed the deal. “As advertised and more! It was a shame we didn't have time to thoroughly explore their beautiful grounds and giftshop. I told my wife about the highly rated vegetation cafe and she said, "well I'm not a vegetarian.". Then she tried the tiny fresh baked loaf of sweet bread they kindly left in the fridge(perfect after volcano viewing snack), Then when I asked "How about now?". She replied "I think I might be a vegetarian!". Delicious! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!”

“We loved the house and its close setting to the shore, where you could see sunrise, big waves, dolfins and turtles. The area of rainforest and fresh lava fields is amazing. So spend a few more nights on Big Island and visit that spot! Its absolutely worth it.”

“Our stay at the kahena beach cottage was amazing. It was on the rainforest side, which gave us a wonderful "off the beaten path" experience and It was directly across from kahena beach, which is a nude beach so be mindful of that before bringing your kids and making the nude people uncomfortable ( watched this happen). The inside of the cabin was very clean ,comfortable and up to date. 10 out of 10 rating”

“Loved having a home away from home on the big island. We explored the Hilo side from here for a few days. Place is well situated for visiting National Park. We went to see eruption multiple times in a day. Two full bathrooms in mirrored split plan home. Our bed was very comfortable and bedroom is carpeted which was nice during chilly mornings. We would recommend a stay. This is not a fancy high end accommodation. It is clean, comfy and homey. Reminded me of my grandparents’ vacation home. ”
