âThe room was lovely, with a nice private terrace. Guesthouse Fortyfour is in the middle of the walled city, so it was a busy area with loud music from a nearby bar at night. The windows are well sound-proofed, which helps!
Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Thank you to the Guesthouse team!â

âExcellent location right inside the old city. Easy walk to nearby attractions, restaurants, bars and more.
Check-in happens at a coffee shop outside Ploce Gate, so be prepared to walk 8 mins to the hotel. Fairly easy walk, but cobbled streets.
Inside, the property, rooms and decorations are immaculate and beautiful. No elevator, so a fair bit of stair climbing.
Minor point: safe wasn't functioning in my room due to previous guests leaving it locked.

âBeautiful room located in the heart of the walled old city in Dubrovnik, near shops and restaurants, our favorite was Soul Kitchen. Wine garden next door was also excellent. Hosts were a wealth of information on things to see and do. Room was right along a set of stairs that is frequented by tour groups and random tourists walking, had to keep the blinds closed so they couldn't see in and some of them were loud enough to be clearly heard in the room.â

âThe room was beautiful. We loved the area it was in as it was so convenient to get to the pile gate and then walk to all the restaurants and shops. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Would definitely stay here again if weâre ever in Dubrovnik again! â

âClean and fresh. Ana was very service minded. Dubrovnik old town is tiny so doesnât matter much exactly where you stay. More important that it is clean. This place is 50 meters from steps of shame. Best snd coziest restaurants are however on the other (north) side of main street. â

âDaniela was a fantastic host, room was clean and she also gave us extra towels for our 4 night stay in Dubrovnik. Netflix was free bonus which is very rare in most places these days! Communication on how to check in was also great as we arrived after 10pm on first night. The room is located in a quiet laneway/street but still close to all the sights and restaurants and shops. "The accommodation is really located in the middle of the old town. Very good with a fridge but no stove plates, Clean and fresh and surprisingly quiet. Nice and helpful staff. 20% discount on the restaurant bill. Across the alley. If you drive a car you MUST park OUTSIDE some zone. Hefty fines if you drive in. There is a garage, google and check costs about 20 euros/day. "
"An excellent 5 star hotel in Dubrovnik, from the exceptional welcoming reception, to the always friendly and service minded staff and of course, amazing luxurious rooms, in our case with a private terasse, beautiful spa and a must mention, the hotel exclusive direct sea access with sun chairs, service and absolute closeness to the Adriatic sea right at the doorstep of the hotel. All and all, a must stay in Dubrovnik, only a few minutes away from the historic Old town and all the buzz it is both calm and serene at Excelsior. We'll be back. Thank you to all the staff for working hard and making it a memorable stay!
Few notes:
Try out the hotel restaurants, they are fantastic.
A room with a terrace is nice but not a must have, try booking in the villa but if you have to choose there are plenty of outdoor space anyway at the hotel facilities.
Enjoy the amazing breakfast.
Ask for a sun chair at the sea front to experience the ultimate best of the Excelsior experience. The staff are attentive and always ready to help out! "
