The Lowell House: Oasis of Arlington

Whether you’re a family of 5 or 16, we have the space to house you all! The newly renovated luxury Lowell House is your home away from home! It has a fully fenced 3 level backyard with plenty of outdoor fun. Inside the home, you get to choose a theme room to enjoy a soundless sleep, and lots of entertainment to enjoy. Central to the greater Washington area, walking distance to Shirlington Village with plenty of restaurants & shops, and much more! Check out my GUIDEBOOK for recommended spots!

Fully fenced private 3 level backyard with dining set and grill. It is fully lit up during night time (just plug in the outlet next to the shed).

In-house laundry (washer and dryer) with laundry detergent pods for your use. 1 pod per wash is all you will need.

4 theme bedrooms and a bedroom/entertainment room with 7 beds and two queen air mattresses (linens, pillows, blankets are all available). Sleeps plenty of people. Master, double bed, and the trundle bedroom has a TV.

3 full baths with most amenities (hand towels, body towels, makeup towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, 3 hair dryers in each bathrooms, clothes iron, master bath has a bidet).

Entertainment room (also can use as a bedroom) with TV, couch, and lots of board games.

Kitchen with an island bar (4 stools) has everything that you will need from pots and pans, filter water dispenser, ice, eating & cooking utensils, plates & cups & wine glass & bowls, seasonings, coffee & espresso machine, and so much more.

Living room has a TV and a comfy sectional couch. Turn on Netflix (your log in is require) and chill!

The check-in process was very detailed and easy. The house was thoroughly cleaned and there was even a guide in the living room for us to navigate the home without having to bother the host. This is our 2nd stay and will not be out last. I thank Zhenni and Michael for their quick responses and hospitality. Thank you for having us again!!!!

Great Spot for DC School Trip

For a group of 15, it was an excellent place to wind down from a long day of sightseeing. Well-equipped kitchen and open concept made gathering together easy and fun. Highly recommend this house for large groups.

Graduation

We had a few issues. The host accidentally gave our address and access code to a guest renting a different property. It was quickly resolved. There is an ant infestation. The toilet paper was thin, one-ply. And the master bed was rock hard.

Close to DC

Convenient location for DC-based excursions. We had plenty of space for our group. Full kitchen was convenient for home-cooked meals. Available parking with dedicated parking spot and additional on-street parking was easy. The hosts were accommodating and responsive. Would be happy to stay here again.

Excellent for family time

Six adults and three kids had plenty of room in this spacious house. Having 3 bathrooms was so helpful. Plenty of appliances in the kitchen, along with well stocked utensils and cookware made making meals easy.

Don’t bring 16 people if you want a comfortable stay

The kitchen was just OK no cork screw in the place never enough dishes. No small salad plate. But there were lots of coffee mugs and a bit of coffee in the canister but well stocked as far as soap towels and paper products

Amazing place!

My family and I stayed for thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The house was very close to Washington DC, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. It was also super spacious and had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend!

VERY Clean

House was VERY clean. The only thing that could have been better was if there had been a FULL size bed downstairs. The stairs are very narrow and somewhat steep so our older guests could not trek them.

Moms, Dads, aunts and uncles and cousins —16 to be exact!

Lowell House was perfect for us! Prompt replies throughout our stay whenever we had a question. We found everything we needed; large bottles of shampoo and body wash in each bathroom were especially appreciated. The teens looked forward to the hot tub listed in property details until we read that actually it is a tub spa… but can’t even call that a complaint. Plenty of areas to sit outside. Thank uou!

Wonderful Gem!!

This home was absolutely beautiful, and had everything my family needed!! The host communicated promptly and made sure that we had everything we needed! Beds were super comfy too!!! Will stay here again!!!

Great place for large family

Newly updated with plenty of rooms and large common space. Very comfortable, smart amenities. Well set up for feeling at home. Since we had a short stay and didn't plan to shop, a few things were in short supply (trash bags, dishwasher soap) but I'm sure the owners will adjust if needed. Also might suggest some unbreakable drinkware - with families like ours staying, we were okay but careful! Maybe extra bath towels per person? And another outside trash bin--the previous occupants not only filled beyond capacity but left some fish in bags in the sun (whew!). Door code seemed to quit working, but didn't effect us. No parking problems was a bonus! Hosts are personable and available online.

Well appointed newly remodeled house

The house is spacious and nicely decorated. The bathrooms are especially well done. The backyard is fully fenced and great for our dog. There was a dog park within walking distance of the house. Neighbors were quiet. Shirlington with its fun restaurants, ice cream parlor, coffee shops, and grocery store as well as a free parking garage is a 5 minute drive away. There is one parking spot at the house and plenty of easy street parking. Overall good spot!
