“Everything was good. We are not city people so this was right up our alley. David and Wendy were responsive and helpful. The ONLY downside would be if you cannot climb a flight of stairs or cannot handle the frogs (lots of them) “singing” all night. Neither of these things bothered us. We would without a doubt stay here again.”

“This cottage did not disappoint. It looked even prettier in person. It was well stocked and super convenient to Volcanoes National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others.”

“We had a wonderful stay at La Cappana. The historic cabin is in a fantastic location in Volcano town right near the Kilauea Lodge with its fantastic restaurant and the Swap Meet at the community center, and a quick and easy drive to the best of Volcano National Park. Even though it is so close to everything Volcano has to offer, the property feels very private with lots of native plants and trees. We enjoyed watching all the birds with our morning coffees We had an added bonus of visiting...

“As advertised and more! It was a shame we didn't have time to thoroughly explore their beautiful grounds and giftshop. I told my wife about the highly rated vegetation cafe and she said, "well I'm not a vegetarian.". Then she tried the tiny fresh baked loaf of sweet bread they kindly left in the fridge(perfect after volcano viewing snack), Then when I asked "How about now?". She replied "I think I might be a vegetarian!". Delicious! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!”

“The host and hostess have put together a true paradise. The grounds are seemingly cared for by master gardeners, the flaura is superb. The yurts are the best sleeping environment, with natural white noise. The convenience of being away but near was excellent. My host and hostess even alerted me to the volcano episodes so I was able to see first hand Pele's fire in Kilauea Crater. I cannot wait for my next adventure here. Mahalo isn't enough. WOW! ”

“The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay in the Maid's Quarters. The apartment is very comfortable and lovely, with antique furniture and objects that reflect the history of the property and neighborhood. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen (sharp knives and a Viking range and oven, both unusual in a rental). The hosts were responsive and welcoming. We loved soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of hiking. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.”

“Having never stayed in a Yurt of grid i was Amazed at how nice it was. I followed the rule of laundry during the day and had no issues. I titled this country because of the chickens and dogs, if you want a quite nights rest this isn't for you. If you are used to dogs barking and roasters crowingfrom 3am on then you'll be fine. I actually Loved it there!!PS, pool had funky ladder to get in and didn't seem worth the risk But that's what the beach is for.!!Again i Loved it and would Highly...

“We had a fantastic stay at this cozy cottage in the woods near Volcano. It had all the amenities we could have wanted and more. The place was spotless, the hot tub was a perfect way to relax after exploring the area, and the outdoor gazebo with the propane heater made for great evenings even when it got chilly.
