“Vi skulle övernatta en natt i York på vägen till London och behövde ett billigt boende nära sevärdigheterna i York. Vandrarhemmet var fräscht och vi hade egen dusch och toa.Det var i ett lugnt och trevligt område med 10 minuters gångavstånd in till sevärdigheter och mysiga pubar innanför Yorks murar.”

“Room basic but clean. Facilities are slightly tired but adequate. The only slight complaint was that the shower was not much more than a dribble but the water was warm. Staff helpful and friendly. Note: Hebden Bridge is hilly and the hostel is up the hill from the town centre. It is not that far and should not put you off using the hostel”

“Amazing hostel. I really enjoy my stay here. Owner Glenn is so helpful, resourceful and kind to have a chat. The volunteers Kasia and Dan are lovely to talk with. It feels a very cosy hostel, not too crowded, noisy and neither a party hostel. I was visiting for tourism and leisure and while many of the guests staying here for work or business, there were no issues. And Glenn kindly helped to sorted out a minor issue in the room very effectively. Just a note there is no stove but a microwave...

“The staff were great. I slept well despite the rattling window and the waterproof mattress. Everything was really clean except the area around the door handles, and the windowsills. One suggestion for improvement would be to have the corridor lights dimmed at night - I was the last one to go to bed in my dorm and the room flooded with light as I opened the door 😬”
