Pensionat i Zanzibar

"We originally booked The Z Hotel, expecting to stay at the beautiful beachfront property with its stunning views, pool, restaurant, and gym. However, upon arrival, we were informed that we had been placed at The Z2 Hotel, a newly opened sister property located just behind The Z Hotel. While Z2 is modern and clean, it lacks the charm, atmosphere, and convenience of the original Z Hotel. What disappointed us most was that nowhere in the booking process or confirmation was it mentioned that Z2 even exists, or that we could be placed there instead of the hotel we actually chose. Guests at Z2 are allowed to use the pool at The Z Hotel, but you have to walk back and forth between the two buildings. Also, Z2 guests are not allowed to have breakfast at The Z Hotel, which added to the feeling of being separated or downgraded. Another important point, there is no elevator in the building. Considering the relatively high price, the overall experience did not feel worth the cost. If we had been clearly informed about the existence of Z2 and what it offered we would probably have made a different booking. As it stands, we felt misled, and that we didn’t get the value or experience we paid for. The Z Hotel itself is lovely with a great vibe, just make sure you know exactly where you’re staying. Z2 may suit some, but it’s a very different experience than staying at the original property. The gym at the Z hotel is great and well equipped with a nice view."

"Beautiful over water villa that looked exactly like the pictures. We truly enjoyed the villa experience. 2 improvement areas; The food. The salads lacks creativity, the choices are few. The room service meny works. After we complained we were offered to order through the room service menu instead. The sense of urgency when it comes to service. We expected this to be a luxurious experience, but it took us close to 2 hours from order to delivery of food to the villa. Incredibly slow."

"Staff was friendly, the food was okay, besides the ceasar salad that was sub par. Hotel shop had expired products (should really review the stock) bought a pepsi that was expired 6 months ago. The pool area was nice, but the water in the pool felt dirty, even though just being cleaned. Would also be transparant to mention that the hotel is just NeXT to a mosque, that kept us awake all night due to non stop activity. "

"Vilket ställe ❤️ Maten är kanon mycket olika saker att välja på du hinner inte tröttna. Flera special restauranger att välja på. Du hinner inte lägga dig i solstolen innan någon kommer och frågar om du vill ha något att dricka. Personalen är dom som lyfter hotellet det där extra steget. "

"Bra hotell som ligger otroligt fint vid stranden. Lite svårt att ta sig runt utanför hotellet men perfekt om ni vill njuta och koppla av på ett och samma ställe."
