“Our flight was delayed therefore arrived a day late. I emailed 'Jamilah' owner of hotel once had WiFi access. Jamilah the owner was considerate as she responded with 'no problem' (Hakuna Matata, (Swahilli). Once we arrived, we were taken to a small and very clean room, but without a fridge or long mirror. I had a word with Jamilah and she assured me that she would sort a fridge and long mirror for us. By the end of the evening a fridge and a mirror arrived. I was so grateful as Jamilah went...

“eden paradise er er super dejligt lille hotel med en dejlig have og få minutter til stranden. jeg har boet her i en hel måned og har nydt mit ophold her. der er dejligt rent og en mega hyggelig lille paradis have. sandra gjorde alt hvad hun kunne når strømmen af og til går. og det gør den tit- men det gør den overalt på zanzibar. der var to piger ansat til rengøring og madlavning og jeg havde intet at klage over. et dejligt lille hjørne i michamvi og stille og roligt sted. ”

“I stayed here one night after landing in stone town. Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for. Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to”

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic. "We booked an amazing room with a big balcony/patio and a jacuzzi. The welcoming of the staff was amazing, Ester in particular. The all inclusive is great. Many choices, super fresh food and you can even choose a la carte and sparkling wines. The views are amazing. The pool perfect. The only problem this hotel currently have is that there is a construction site right next door. Ask for a room as far from that as possible It's still worth visiting this hotel! We would happily return. "

"Väldigt soft hotel som ligger lite off, så perfekt om man vill ta det lugnt. Fin pool, garden rummen att föredra eftersom Sea view med pool rummen fuktiga & slitna pooler… Väldigt bra mat & restaurang med vacker utsikt…. Bott på 500+ hotel & Bamboo top 5 i service så rekommenderas varmt. "

"Where do I begin... such a beautiful place, a place with beautiful people! I loved every second of my stay, I felt safe from the moment I got there, and so welcomed. The service and hospitality is top tier, never experienced anything on this level. The food was amazing, the massage I booked and the meditation class. Just what I needed in one place. The photos don't do the place justice, my room was so beautiful and spacious. I highly recommend this place! "
