Great stay

We stayed 4 nights. The cottage was really good for my husband & I. Bed was comfortable, the whole place was very clean, very nice washer& dryer. The local is pretty ideal for the beach. We could park our e-bikes behind the house. One drawback is bad water pressure in the shower.

Wife’s Birthday getaway

I rented this place for a long weekend and it was perfect! Close to town and the beach. We rented a couple of bikes and just cruised around town. The house was a perfect size for us and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

Toes in the sand!

Very nice, quiet, conveniently located house. Couple hundred feet to the beach and a couple of blocks to restaurants and stores. Plenty of beach accessories. Great place on AMI

Beach Vacay

This is a vacation rental. If I owned the property, I would improve the back porch, and front steps. I would also modernize the kitchen, and add additional electrical outlets in the bedrooms. Property was clean and everything in working order. We had a great visit to Ana Maria Island.

Location is Perfect!

This home is the perfect location to enjoy all the amazing parts of Anna Maria Island! Walking distance to beach and 5 minute drive to most restaurants. Could easily bike everywhere. Will head back for sure!

Lovely cottage, great location near a wonderful beach. There is construction next door/across street

Casa Posada is a lovely beach cottage with a historic feel. Adorable bedrooms, living room and nicely updated bathroom. Cute kitchen, a bit outdated but functional. Nice little screened in patio, but pretty old and screens were very dirty. Outdoor landscaping was not very well kept, as I find with most VRBO listings. The beach is wonderful at this part of the island, loved the spot. However, as of April 2023 there is a massive new home being built next door and another one diagonally across the street. While it's a lovely cottage, you are surrounded by construction, which wasn't as relaxing as we had hoped. It would have been nice to know beforehand. Overall great spot, loved the cottage, but the surrounding construction did detract from the overall experience.

Casa Posada was Lovely

Stayed here for 3 weeks in Feb 2023 with my dog. Came down to escape the winter and work remotely. The house is exactly as pictured, very cute and has everything you could need and was so clean when I checked in. It’s a great location on the island, very close to the beach and restaurants. The wifi was great for working - had no issues. Dogs are not allowed on the beaches but found a nice path just parallel to the beach to walk the dog. Overall would highly recommend. The only downside was there are two major construction sites on the block - one next door and one across the street and there is a lot of construction activity and noise Mon-Sat from about 7 or 8am until about 3pm which made it hard to enjoy the house with windows open or the patio during the day. They were working on foundation and framing while I was there so i would imagine this will be true for awhile. Totally out of the owners control but was something I’d have liked to have known before booking.

Great Beach Bungalow

Cute and very well located typical Florida beach bungalow. Very nice experience. PROS : 1 min away from a quiet and very pristine beach - clean and well appointed (lots of towels) - very well functioning wifi, AC, appliances - brand new shower room - good beds in main bedrooms - quiet ceiling fans which allowed us to cut the AC at night - lots of closet space - large TV with Netflix - clear indications from renters on premises - great vibe overall. CONS : this house is great for 3 to 4 people, no more - the sofa pull out is not confortable for anyone above 10 YO - the dining room table sits only 4 - above 4 pax it would really feel cramped, it's a small cottage - the yard is small, don't rely on a garden area - there are no sand toys or beach supplies, everything is broken or in bad shape and stored in the very run down back garage - there is no dishwasher - the arrival door code was not functional and I had to ring, being lucky someone answered because and overall communications with renters were very basic (we reported a major water leak in the garden when sprinklers came on, they barely seemed bothered) - one bedroom door sticks and we had to exit through the window (the house has the usual wear from a beachside property but some fixing would be needed) - some staples such as salt and pepper would be welcome for short stays - lastly there are two houses being built, one next door, one across the street, so expect some noise and trucks starting at 8am for the next 6 months (portable toilets are right there too).

This wasn’t our original place but they accommodated us with another place due to power outage from hurricane Ian which worked out perfectly for our family. Wish the pool was colder. Few short blocks to the beach.

Adorable cottage, great location!

We’ve visited AMI every year for the past 7 years. This was our first time staying at this little cottage and we hope to stay next time we travel to AMI! Everything was exactly as pictured (even prettier in person) and any old reviews complaining about upgrades needed are irrelevant. The house was clean (I’ve stayed in many rentals with dust all over but did not see any even on the tv’s/furniture). The location is PRIME! You are 2 minutes from Pine Avenue, a short 5-10 minute drive to Publix, and I believe 3 houses from the beach (a very short walk). The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful and we met a couple neighbors who are residents and were very friendly to us. I appreciate the house being dog friendly so we didn’t have to leave our Sheepadoodle behind and yet you would never know a dog was there (no fur or stains in the house)! The bed was very comfortable and bedding soft. Bathroom is small (to be expected with a home from the 1940’s) however it was remodeled beautifully and water pressure was excellent. Most important, the AC works GREAT! That is always a struggle staying in Florida! The owners still have some remodeling to do but we were very happy with this house! The kitchen needs to be updated but is very usable (I think most people go out or get take out on vacation). The laundry is on the back porch which I think is common in Florida (although a tad hot doing laundry outside). The actual washer/dryer are due for an upgrade soon but again, it worked and cleaned our clothes! The previous person stated there was not much grass for dogs but we found the grass to be ample (even though it’s not full and lush, our dog had no issues finding a spot and around the back is a more private grassy area. I usually am not a fan of “older homes” but I fell in love with this cottage! No musty smell like you would find in a lot of older homes. The owners were very quick to respond when we had an issue with the lockbox getting stuck. They were there within minutes of my text and fixed the issue even though it was after business hours. We look forward to visiting this cottage next summer! Thank you for a great week!

Great location

We rented this house so we could bring our 2 small fur babies with us. It was a great place for them, and we felt better having them with us. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was sufficiently furnished, the blender worked, yay! Complaints: There was very little grass in the yard for the girls to use to do their business. I know grass is hard to grow on the island, but some of the neighbors had great grass, it was hard to get them to the grass at the end of the street, so we didn’t annoy the neighbors. Also, the condition of the beach cart, and some of the chairs was really bad. We put one in the trash coming back from the beach that was rusted and broken in 3 places. Luckily, we are local and brought our own beach gear, but most renters don’t have that option.

Good Vacation Spot

This house was a nice place for our family vacation with our 2 year old. The house itself wasn't in the greatest condition (shower tile/kitchen ceiling), but floors, linens etc were all kept clean. The decor was nice, beds were comfortable and the short distance to the beach was ideal! We saw lots of wildlife right at the beach at the end of the street - dolphins, manatee, turtle, lizards! Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Okay place but still needs work

The location is great. However, you cannot hear the ocean from the house as suggested in this listing because the windows are rusted and don't open and there really isn't a nice place to sit outside. If you are looking for a place where you can sit out and enjoy the ocean breeze, you'll need to walk to the ocean. The house was very clean and owners very responsive.
