The experience we had was exceptional. I was greeted at check-in by one of the most professional and welcoming assistants ever. His name was Antwan. I told him I was celebrating my birthday and he made sure to assign me a wonderful room with a view.
The room was immaculate and we totally enjoyed the wine happy hour from 5-6. We enjoyed the ambience of the living room area while sipping and mingling. I don't know the name of the other gentleman working alongside Antwan but every time my husband and I passed the desks, he was attentive and took time to ask if all was well and if we needed anything. I felt like a special guest.
Overall, I have been quite impressed with the Kimpton line of hotels. Although this particular one is smaller and not as fancy, it is well kept, quaint, and welcoming.
The rooftop was closed due to the weather, but the downstairs bar and restaurant were open. It too was well maintained.
I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the following morning although several of the requested menu items were unavailable. Nevertheless, Chef Burrell was kind enough to visit our table with apologies and sought to ensure we were accommodated.
If you are ever in the area and need a hotel, I highly recommend this particular property. It's next to the Porsche facility and having a view next to the track is beautiful.
