Tyst - romantisk - avskilt stuga vid sjön

Dramatiskt belÀgen pÄ sidan av ett berg, med utsikt över en glittrande ren, vÄrmatad 12 tunnland stor sjö, Àr vÄr stuga perfekt för smekmÄnad eller naturÀlskare - eller nÄgon som uppskattar lugn och ro. Det Àr undangömt pÄ en privat vÀg - avskilt, lugnt och privat, omgiven av skönheten i Maines skog.

Den har ett högt dÀck som vetter mot vÄra 200 fot naturliga sjöfront med brygga och kanot. PÄ eftermiddagssolen eller under en stjÀrnblÄst natthimlen Àr det helt privat pÄ 3 trÀdbevuxna tunnland.

Observera: Vi hyr endast till (rökfria) vuxna.

Den 2005-byggda stugan har mahognygolv, knutig tallpanell och stora fönster med vacker utsikt. Det soliga vardagsrummet har bekvÀma, nya möbler och en mysig matplats intill en gjutjÀrnspis (keramisk timmer, propan spis).

PÄ grund av klimatförÀndringar har jag lagt till en vÀrmepump med luftkonditionering och vÀrme. Somrarna i Maine har blivit varmare och till och med ibland fuktiga, sÄ luftkonditionering Àr viktigt för en god natts vila.

PÄ övervÄningen har ett romantiskt "loft" sovrum utsikt över vardagsrummet och har en skrÀddarsydd, queen-size plattform sÀng med en fast madrass med extra minne skum topper. Allt sÀngklÀder tillhandahÄlls.

Det finns ett litet, tyst rum pÄ baksidan av huset med en futon soffa / sÀng.

Det stora badrummet har en tvÀttmaskin / torktumlare, en duschkabin och ett stort skrÀddarsytt, tallskÄp, inrymt med en mexikansk keramisk handfat och rymliga lÄdor för klÀdförvaring. Handdukar levereras. Bra, fÀrskt vatten kommer frÄn en djup, privat brunn.

I det kompakta köket finns nya apparater inklusive en mikrovÄgsugn och en jÀmn topp-serie. (Ingen diskmaskin förutom dig sjÀlv.) Bra belysning med extra LED-ljus över kaminen. Köksartiklar av hög kvalitet, knivar, disk, glas - fullt utrustade med undantag för dina matvaror.

Det finns en ny CD / radio / kassettspelare, en 13 "TV (parabolanslutning) och DVD-spelare med nÄgra DVD-skivor till hands. Det finns ingen fastnÀt och inget internet, men bra mobiltelefonmottagning. Augusta-biblioteket, Walmart och Panera Bread i nÀrheten erbjuder gratis trÄdlöst internet. Telefonbok, kartor och broschyrer levereras.

Kanot vid vÄr brygga Àr utrustad med flytvÀstar och paddlar, och vattnet Àr mycket rent för bad och bra för fiske - frÀmst bas och pickerel.

Work Week Vacation

Getaway from it all

The place had everything we needed, was comfortable bright and clean. Surrounded by trees and plenty of sun or shade as preferred. The canoe was easy to get to and launch. The natural stone walk down to the pond was energizing. The fish were definitely jumping. Mid week very quiet and private. Weekend pretty much the same.

Delightful getaway

This adorable cabin was perfect for my husband and I. The environment was everything we hoped for and the location was perfect for day trips and exploring the area. They even resurfaced the dirt road the week we arrived!

Nice small house on a quiet pond

House was exactly as described. Very clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen well stocked. Great for a relaxing getaway and home base to explore other towns. Only recommendation would be some maintenance on path to pond.

Secluded is the best part!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon. We enjoyed the seclusion of the property and the immediate access to the pond. My husband enjoyed using the property's canoe to fish and I loved the wake-free water for paddleboarding. We were close enough to the coast to make day trips. Great location!

Best relaxation in years

Wanted to spend some quiet time away from everone this was definitely the place. Although the weather wasn't the best thehome lake and surrounding area was perfect. Lake has dome nice bass and perch house has everything we needed.

Great fall get away.

Not exactly ON a lake

The way down needs more accommodation. My husband made it down once with difficulty. I made it half way once. We spent the week on the deck looking at the lake. The cottage was beautiful, and better provisioned than any previous rental, but we came for the lake. Never even inflated our tubes.

Peaceful

Clean, well equipped, cozy and quiet. Location was perfect for us to simply relax, read, cook. Kayaked much at Three Mile Pond, played a round of golf at Western View. Both 15 minutes away. Maine Cabin Masters was our draw. The coast is not far but chose to stick close and enjoy the cottage.

Beautiful oasis

Ginger’s place is even sweeter than it looks in the pictures. The setting is idyllic and the house is set up with guests in mind with a well stocked kitchen and even shelving to store your own food and equipment in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. The way to the lake is a tiny bit of a climb but anything more structured than the few stepping stones here and there would ruin its charm. There are only a few other residents around the lake but there was some construction going on directly across the lake starting on Thursday of our stay: sawing and nail guns etc which broke up the serenity. Hopefully their construction will end soon. It is a beautiful and otherwise peaceful place!

Great vacation spot.

We had a great time. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Secluded and quiet. Enjoyed our evening campfires, but watch out for the moose, hahah. Fishing was excellent, but watch out for the giant turtle. Excellent weather. Enjoyed every bit of our time there.

Fantastic Location

The property was very clean, kitchen well stocked, and with many things to do. Location is very close to town, while very remote. Loved it!! Will return if possible. I would recommend this property to anyone. Ginger was fantastic to work with.

Beautiful Hidden Gem

This was a gorgeous property in an amazing location. If you want to feel like you're in the middle of nature but don't like "roughing it" this is the perfect spot. We look forward to returning someday. Thank you Ginger for sharing this unique and amazing place!

Awesome getaway!!

House was great! Really enjoyed out stay, Wonderful layout of place- small, but doesn't feel small. Only downside was the drive in on the dirt road - not grated yet, so it had many large potholes. Luckily not a problem for out vehicle.

Charm and Solitude

If you are looking for a place to enjoy peace and solitude but without "roughing it", then this is your place. The serenity of the lake and canoe, the peaceful mornings on the back deck hearing nary a sound except that provided by birds and water fowl was just the tonic this tired workaholic needed to refresh and recharge. Within an hour is everything you could hope to see in Maine. Hiking trails with amazing views were plentiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the coast, especially the quaint and uncrowded scenes of Rockport and Camden where we found the locals so friendly and the food out of this world. We also headed up north on Hwy 201 toward Jackman - moose country - where we saw spectacular views and wildlife in abundance. We also found nearby Augusta to have more charm and things to do than any review hinted at. Only downside was the time of year we were here - end of June - was peak tourism season, so popular destinations such as Bar Harbor and Acadia National were jam-packed. We avoided those areas as a result and have no regrets, but if this is what you desire to see and experience, choose your dates carefully. Ginger is a gracious hostess and everything you could want is right there. We will definitely be back again to enjoy this beautiful setting.
