“We had a terrible experience at Samlesbury. The room had no noice cancellation, we could hear everything from outside in the corridor. Doors opening, people talking, it felt like they were standing in the room. "The only reason for the overall rating was the absence of WiFi in my room. The staff was very helpful and let me use the staff WiFi. The problem was resolved, but it returned as soon as I returned to my room. I had to go to the nearby McD in order to check emails, etc. In addition, the check-in was problematic as the lodge did not have a credit card reader which led to the lodge dismissing my card. The explanation from the lodge was something that the card issuer had never heard about when I checked with them when I got home. Otherwise, the location and nearby pub were great, especially if you plan to see Blackburn Rovers. Their home ground is just 5 min off. Hopefully, this rating will lead to an improved WiFi access at the lodge."
