âExcellent facilities. Stayed here twice, specifically to enjoy the spa packages on offer, what a lovely way to relax. The bedrooms are very comfortable with bathrooms especially well designed in the Woodlands rooms. Or you can enjoy a more period feel staying in the Manor House. My husband and I had a meal on the night of arrival which was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
It was nice to have plenty of tea bags and milk cartons in the room instead of the usual 2. Very comfortable bed.

Would definitely recommend over the nearby garner hotel as we dropped someone off there and it stank....

The facilities offered were brilliant with the kitchen being very clean and neat.

âThe house is nothing special but the bed was comfortable to sleep in and it was in the location we needed to visit family. The kitchen smelled like something was rotting, I think the bins hadn't been disposed of properly before we arrived. There also weren't any towels even though the advert says there will be. It's an okay place to stay as long as you're not expecting luxury.â

"The only reason for the overall rating was the absence of WiFi in my room. The staff was very helpful and let me use the staff WiFi. The problem was resolved, but it returned as soon as I returned to my room. I had to go to the nearby McD in order to check emails, etc. In addition, the check-in was problematic as the lodge did not have a credit card reader which led to the lodge dismissing my card. The explanation from the lodge was something that the card issuer had never heard about when I checked with them when I got home. Otherwise, the location and nearby pub were great, especially if you plan to see Blackburn Rovers. Their home ground is just 5 min off. Hopefully, this rating will lead to an improved WiFi access at the lodge."
