The only reason we are giving this 5 stars is because we arent allowed to give it 7. Amazing host, every possible eventuality catered for, notes everywhere, clear guidance, spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The bungalow is terrific, and the host most welcoming... We enjoyed our stay just as much as last year (despite the rainy weather) and we will return...

Excellent family place in the countryside

This place was just perfect. Hidden away in the quiet countryside but close to Bristol Airport and not too far from the city center let us get out exploring at our own place. Clean and comfortable we felt very welcome and looking forward to staying here again in the future.

We had a great week at the bungalow - a lovely, clean and spacious property. Extremely welcoming all round, lots of games and garden toys to play with and plentiful supplies in the bathroom and kitchen. Highly recommend it!

The area was a surprise, the countryside was beautiful, lots of interesting walks and things to do. Eating out was a highlight with so many fantastic places to eat. Best fish and chips in the uk at the Salt and Malt. The host was very hospitable and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend staying here.

The property is very well equipped. Everything we needed was there. Kitchen was very well stocked with crockery, glassware, cookware and cutlery and a great selection of DVDs to watch in the evening. The owner had also very generously left a wide supply of teas, coffee and cake. It was a fantastic location for our family get together over Easter. Lots of really nice walks to do and a very ease walk into the village centre where there are several pubs if you don't want to cook.

Great place to stay

We had a great time in Chew Magna. Jacqueline ( and family) were very helpful and made the house accesible for wheelchair and scootmobile.

Booked as details described the property as Accesible. It was perfect in every way for my young grandson in a wheelchair. So spacious. Weather wasn't great but it didn't matter, we were so warm and cosy.

Cheeky little break in Chew Magna

A lovely property in a fantastic location. A wide variety of walks from the property and the village is a short walk. The village boasts a few pubs - the pelican was excellent, highly recommend especially on pizza night. The property is very well equipped and the owners is extremely helpful. Highly recommend and we will definitely be rebooking.

Thank you Jacqueline, we had a great stay at your happy holiday home. We found everything that we needed to have a peaceful and most enjoyable time in the home and its gardens. We hope to make it back here again for our next trip to the UK. The garden was very flowerful and the fields so inviting. We saw a few happy hoppy shy bunnies. Lots of birds.

My family

My family have now returned to Australia after their stay in Chew House. They loved the property, it is in a beautiful location,everything was provided (cakes were appreciated!) and the garden area with slide was ideal for the children. Thank you from them.

Robert & Hilary C We have spent the last few years in different properties in England but this was by far more superior than any of the others. The property is in pristine condition and is more than adequately supplied with kitchen equipment and laundry facilities. The owner left assortment of milk, butter, wine, fruit and two cakes which were greatly appreciated. Everything was there for our comfort making our stay memorable. Really appreciated C owner visiting shortly after our arrival and telling us to contact her, if we had any problems. The village of Chew Magna is quaint and we had a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Queen. Certainly if we were ever in the area again we would have no hesitation making a second visit. Many thanks Jacqueline.

This was an amazing home! We came here and got to celebrate Mother's Day weekend for me. We stayed here to be central to Stonehenge, Bath, and Glastonbury. Great location. The grounds are just stunning. Spending time in the garden was lovely. The home was so beautiful and had every amenity we needed. Jaqui was a great communicator, and her father Clive was so helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out. He told us how he built the place himself. Just felt so lucky to find this gem. My whole family enjoyed it. We hope to return to England ome day and stay at their comfortable home again! Thank you so much. Highly recommended.

We celebrated new years here couldn’t fault the place. The property is beautiful and much larger than we expected. Every conceivable requirement has been taken care of from the fantastic kitchen to the stunning bathrooms. Surrounded by countryside and a 10 minute walk to the charming nearby town, the property was perfect as a base to explore the area. Jaqueline the host was wonderful and really helpful. Highly recommended. First class.

Outstanding house and host.

This house is absolutely perfect for those with limited mobility. The house is safe and well equipped for the elderly or disabled. The kitchen has everything you might need. Communication with Jacqueline was amazing both before and during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely faultless stay.

Fabulous stay

We stayed at the property four years ago so this is our second visit. Perfect home for a holiday near relatives and celebrating three birthdays. Bungalow has everything you need in beautiful surroundings which are ideal for walking and cycling. My son is a keen cyclist and we enjoyed walking to Chew Lake and the crazy golf nearby. If you book the property you will not be disappointed.
