“We went for 2 nights stay in May. Check in and communication was very good. The property was clean. It looked like renovation work took place recently. It was a pleasant stay. Only downside is that there are no good places to eat. We arrived about 8:30 pm and all the nearby places were closed for customers. This is no reflection on the property as it was as advertised.”

“The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we felt at home right away. There was plenty of space for 3 generations of family and we loved the hot tub. No queues for bathrooms with 3 showers and 4 toilets in the property! Would recommend for a large family group.”

“This property worked really well for us a family of 6 adults and 2 young children plus a dog. The utility room was very handy for the dog. There is plenty of space and a large garden. The house was pretty clean with a few exceptions like the skirting boards and front door area. The house is well equipped although the coffee maker is missing a few items. Overall we would recommended the property for a relaxed family stay.”

“We had a lovely week at Rooks Retreat - even got used to the rasping rooks! Wasn’t as close to Freshwater East as we hoped. It is possible to walk (up the lane from the cottage) towards Freshwater Inn, but there are some very steep steps to negotiate down onto the beach, takes about 45 minutes. The cottage is great, cosy & well equipped. The weather was so good we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the afternoon sun. Easy to make the cottage warm on those couple of cooler evenings.
